Unknown AK

Can anybody ID what type of AK that Alex Lannon uses in episode 3?

These two appear to be different weapons. The one on the bottom has rear sights, the one on top does not. --Funkychinaman (talk) 16:43, 5 July 2014 (EDT)
Your right I didn't notice that so for at least 20 seconds they switched the gun back and forth in the show that's weird.--Balin21 (talk) 17:09, 5 July 2014 (EDT)
I just watched it again and it may be a AKMSU then it turns into a full length AK-47 can you verify it please?--Balin21 (talk) 18:54, 5 July 2014 (EDT)
The majority of the time when weapons switch around like this is because there are different blank firing weapons and non-firing prop weapons. Do you know which of the above two guns is the firing weapon, as that would help to identify them.--commando552 (talk) 13:00, 8 July 2014 (EDT)
I believe the top one is the firing one.--Balin21 (talk) 14:17, 9 July 2014 (EDT)
AKMSU with RIS handguard - 7.62x39mm
Here is what I think it is.--Balin21 (talk) 12:05, 10 July 2014 (EDT)
As for the top one I don't think it is. Based on the milled receiver and magazine style I would say it is a 5.56x45mm variant made by Arsenal. As the top one is the firing one I will assume that this is definitely a genuine weapon, and due to the fact that it has the pivot point at the rear of the receiver for the under folding style stock (although it has been fitted with a side folder) I'm gonna guess it is an Arsenal AR-SF which has had the stock changed, a railed handguard fitted and the rear sight removed for some reason:
Arsenal AR-SF - 5.56x45mm
Generally this rifle looks very odd though, like the railed handguard is not fitted properly, the front sight appears to have been chopped down slightly, and the muzzle device appears to be emulating the one used on an Arsenal carbine but doesn't look quite right. At first glance the bottom one does look like the AKMSU you posted a pic of, however it is fitted with the same Bulgarian waffle pattern 5.56x45mm magazine, and the folding stock is wrong looking more like the ones used on Arsenal rifles. However the way it attaches to the receiver is wrong for an Arsenal (compare to the pic of the Arsenal AR-M4SF), but I think Arsenal do make some stamped receiver guns that may have a stock that attaches like this, but I am not familiar with them. This bottom one could of course be an airsoft gun which has been cobbled to look like the firing gun, but this seems odd to me as the firing gun also appears to be cobbled to look like this one so I'm not really sure what is going on. --commando552 (talk) 13:06, 10 July 2014 (EDT)
