Wasn't there another infamous assassin/would-be assassin that used a CA revolver? Well in any event, that is a sad coincidence, but a pretty apt one as well, I agree with ya. Though I've found that it seems plenty of nuts use revolvers (when they aren't using 'assault weapons', anyway), which peeves me slightly being a revolver guy. But generally, they always work and were the dominant handgun type for the better part of more than a century so I guess it makes sense. Though for so many to use a particular brand and even gun like that, like I said, sad. Whatever, though - At the end of the day we of course all know that even while it may facilitate such action, a firearm, regardless of type, brand, or particular model, ultimately has very little if anything to do with a nutjob murderer being a nutjob murderer. I think the fact that they all used revolvers had more to do with the time period. John Hinckley used a revolver as well. I was reading about Arthur Bremer earlier, and apparently he had a Browning HP as well, so it's a bit odd he went with the CA. This is true, they were quite common both new and old for a long time - As I said, the dominant handgun type for more than a century. Plus small snubs like these are indeed some of the most concealable guns out there - Small and light to carry and quick and easy to clear out and get to business - I agree that's probably why it was probably taken instead of the HP. Why carry a large not-as-easily-concealable hi-cap semiauto when 5 or 6 (or less) rounds from a smaller and more easily hid gun will do the job (as sadly evidenced)? Also, revolvers have the benefit of automatic policing of brass, which would be a consideration in that regard (though I doubt it was one in any of these instances). Bah, just some thoughts, really not trying to get into a talk about ideal weapons for assassination here.. So back to my original point - Again, shame for any particular gun/brand to get that kind of following/rep, but this is hardly the only such instance of course.
