Intratec TEC-38

CAWS Trailer 010.jpg
ALDDS 25.jpg

The image of The Winter Soldier's right thigh shows that there are two guns there. The first is the COP 357 (non-extended barrels) and the second appears to be an Intratec TEC-38 similar to the one from A Low Down Dirty Shame. Zoomed out, it looks like the COP 357 has an extended barrel that is strapped down, but when you zoom in it becomes a little clearer that there is a second gun on the holster. This is my first potential addition to the IMFDB, so I'd like to get a little peer verification before I go and slap on an update. --Extimorous (talk) 19:09, 19 November 2013 (EST)

You're right. There are two guns. I'll make the edit, thanks for pointing it out.--Mandolin (talk) 16:20, 3 February 2014 (EST)

Set pictures

Just FYI, my ID's pf the FN EGLM, COP 357 and the SIG pistol (think it is a P220 but not 100%) are mostly basedon this set of set images. --commando552 (talk) 17:51, 24 October 2013 (EDT)

The SIG looks like a resign prop at least in the first shot. --Warejaws (talk) 18:12, 24 October 2013 (EDT)

Handheld Minigun

Probably a modern gun, but it looks like it has the old GE-style barrel clamps vice the newer combination clamps/flash hider. Though it's hard to tell due to the lack of quality.

It isn't really either, it is a customised short barrelled Minigun, very much like the one used in Soldier. Echo1 makes an Airsoft replica in this configuration, but don't know if it ever actually existed as a production model. --commando552 (talk) 18:04, 3 February 2014 (EST)
Agreed, the higher res image makes it clear. It looks a lot like the Soldier gun. It may even be the same one. To my understanding short barreled Miniguns only exist in Hollywood (and Airsoft). All military variants have full length 22-inch barrels. Given that they are always emplaced and require an external power supply, there aren't really any benefits to having shorter barrels in a real world application. --Gau17 (talk) 14:24, 4 April 2014 (EST)

Just Saw the Movie

I'm pretty sure that the Winter Soldier's P220-series pistol was a P220 Sport. Possibly the P226 Sport, but the barrel looked a bit too large for that. Anyone care to verify? --Mormonpowerranger521 4 April 2014 2:15 MST

A lot of the guns were too in motion to get a good look at in the movie, but I agree that it was a P220. There was a nice M1911 in a box near the very end, and the very first merc on the boat at the beginning looked like he had a G36 with an optics carry handle (as opposed to the C handle). Oh, and one of the mannequins of the Howling Commandos had an M3 Grease Gun. EDIT: I just realized that even though that high caliber rifle that fires soviet-made slugs which lack rifling wasn't ever seen in the movie, the Winter Soldier is seen holding it on the cover! I can't ID it though. Alex T Snow (talk) 17:11, 5 April 2014 (EDT)
I believe the manequins all had guns, so you had an M3A1 for Morita's, a Sten Mk II for Falsworth's, am M1 Garand for Bucky's, a Winchester 1897 Trench gun for Dugan's, and a Browning M1919A4 for Jones's. If Dernier's mannequin had a gun it is obscured, but assuming they are going by the first film it would just be a Sten Mk II anyway. I seem to remember some promotional images of the Winter Soldier with that sniper rifle aswell, and it is a Barrett M107 I believe. --commando552 (talk) 17:51, 5 April 2014 (EDT)

Anyone think that the customized P226 SCT looks like the one from Season 4 of Chuck? --Mormonpowerranger521 5 April 21:00 MST

It's already an entry on the page. --Ben41 (talk) 23:31, 5 April 2014 (EDT)
In "Chuck Versus the Cat Squad" (S4E15), Carina (Mini Anden) is threatened with the custom SIG.

I think I saw a KRISS Vector when the SHIELD/STRIKE team checks out the bunker after the missile strike. Anyone else see it?--Mandolin (talk) 18:04, 8 April 2014 (EDT)

Guardians of the Galaxy

These will be put here for now. --Ben41 (talk) 13:42, 7 April 2014 (EDT)

Winter Soldier's M4A1

Anyone else notice the Winter Soldier's M4A1 has no fencing around the mag release button?

The Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) opens fire with the M4A1.
The Winter Soldier with the M4A1 fitted with an M203A1 type Grenade Launcher.

Could it be an M4 upper on an SP1 lower?-Gunner5

It looks that way. Also, that appears to be the same prop (I can't recall if it's supposed to be the same rifle in-universe); the only differences are the attachments, M203/Foregrip and two different EOTechs, otherwise they're completely identical. Alex T Snow (talk) 22:07, 19 April 2014 (EDT)

Skorpion vs Aircraft Canopy

It was sort of weird watching .32 ACP rounds punch through the canopy of a SHIELD jet without any trouble. I think maybe SHIELD needed to invest in some thicker plastic to protect their pilots. Atypicaloracle (talk) 20:37, 25 April 2014 (EDT)

I think it is meant to be portrayed as firing stronger bullets or possibly armor piercing, hell they could even be experimental futuristic bullets that could cut through anything except Cap's shield.--One shot is all it takes. (talk) 13:29, 26 April 2014 (EDT)

Well, what's even stranger is that Fury's SUV has a windshield and car windows can survive multiple blasts from a bunch of M4A1 Carbines, which fire 5.56x45 mm AP rounds that are more powerful than .32 ACP rounds of a Skorpion. Fury's SUV is pretty much SHIELD technology. With that aside, I enjoyed the movie and liked that they added a political thriller vibe to it (with an exception to the annoying screaming and wailing sounds that play every time the Winter Soldier shows up), almost as if it was a political thriller drama itself. - Kenny99 (talk) 16:44, 4 August 2014 (EDT)

To add to this, in a previous scene, Falcon was having trouble shooting at a SHIELD jet with his Steyrs, which are 9mm, but a couple shots from Winter Soldier's Skorpion, and it went right through? Excalibur01 (talk) 19:49, 9 September 2014 (EDT)

Seeing as the way they identified him as The Winter Soldier in the first place was by his unique ammunition, I would just assume that all of his guns fire weird, magical, movie BS bullets. --commando552 (talk) 02:59, 10 September 2014 (EDT)

Unknown M16-based rifle?

CAWS-M16d.jpg

I'm having trouble identifying this one due to all of the intense action and camera angles. Is this another M4A1 Carbine with the camera angles and quick swipes making it seem as if its thinner and smaller? Or some other weapon derived from the M16? Or neither? Anyway, thanks :D - Kenny99 (talk) 01:09, 10 September 2014 (EDT)

I think it's another M4 without any rear sights, which is weird because a LOT of M4s in this movie is missing any type of rear sight. Excalibur01 (talk) 08:09, 10 September 2014 (EDT)
