One Rifle ID

I can say with confidence the cop in the back has a Vetterli Model 1869/70. Pretty interesting weapon for 1960s Uruguay. Guess he came late to the handing out of weapons at the station and got stuck with the antique black powder bolt-action. --PyramidHead (talk) 11:32, 6 July 2020 (EDT)

The kneeing police officer in the second picture aims a 1909 Argentine Mauser rifle (note the auxiliary bayonet lug mounted beneath the muzzle). I'm not sure, but the rifles in the first and third picture look like Argentine M1909/26 Cavalry Carbines.--HighPhigh (talk) 01:58, 7 July 2020 (EDT)

Unknown rifles look like some sporters, may be the same one. At least one of them looks not specially built, but converted from an army rifle, perhaps another 1909 Mauser. --Slon95 (talk) 11:16, 12 July 2020 (EDT)

I agree about them being sporters, I was looking at sporter rifles earlier because I thought I recognized the shape as being similar to that of a Winchester 70 model, but then I realized perhaps they fit the shape of a Mauser 98 Sporter better. It also looks as if there are different models, it's not the same one. One of them does indeed resemble a German-style Mauser 98 Sporter Model B (the rifle in the picture named "File:BurntMoneyUnIDWeapons8.jpg").--Ssantusky (talk) 07:26, 13 July 2020 (EDT)

Shotguns

Could some shotgun connoisseur please take a look at the shotgun screenshots? I think I identified most of them correctly but I still have some doubts because of some details (grip, receiver, muzzle, fore-end, tube magazines). I think some of them could be perhaps Bataan 71 or Rexio 12/70 Argentine shotguns, but it's hard to notice because of the darkness in the scenes. Although this is generally badly visible, the shotgun in Weapons 8 seems to have a notch in the forend. Could this be Magtech? The rifle in Weapons 9 looks like one of the derivatives of the Ruger Mini-14. --Slon95 (talk) 10:48, 7 July 2020 (EDT)

Thanks Slon95, I agree on the Ruger Mini-14, the muzzle, front sights, magazine and vent holes seem to match. I'm identifying it as such for now. About the MagTech, it could be, I simply cannot say for sure, but I do know they are used in Uruguay by civilians, although I can't say if they have ever been adopted by police.--Ssantusky (talk) 11:05, 7 July 2020 (EDT)
