I've got a Brazilian made 950B (not BS) with no thumb safety, but the Brazilian Beretta factory didn't open until 1974 when they started making the 92's for the Brazilian government. Interestingly the Brazilian ones say cal 6.35 on the side of the slide instead of .25 like the later US made ones. Actually the grips say .25, so maybe just the slide came from a Brazilian one?
