APB: Reloaded (2011)

THIS PAGE IS A WIP

APB: Reloaded is a pseudo-MMO Cops-and-Robbers game.

Play as an "Enforcer", a vigilante given the power to enforce the law by the "City Security Act" as an extreme measure to try and cut down on the large amount of crime that has taken the streets of San Paro to hell. Arrest criminals, neutralize potential terrorists, and protect the people of San Paro using everything from sidearms to rocket launchers.

Play as a "Criminal". Take what you want, when you want. It doesn't matter how hard San Paro tries to crackdown (pun) on crime, you will work your way to the top. Smash storefronts, steal cars, mug civilians, plant bombs and work with the drug trade. Avoid too much attention from the Enforcers, or go all out, it is entirely up to you and how hard you want to push back.

The following weapons appear in the video game APB: Reloaded:

Handguns:

Taurus Model 617

The Taurus Model 617 appears as the Colby SNR 850 is a 9mm snubnosed revolver with decent damage. However it is limited by being a six shooter and having a relatively slow rate of fire. The biggest advantage being that you can switch to it and fire almost instantaneously. It is one of the two weapons new characters start with in the game, the other being the STAR 556.

Taurus Raging Bull

The Taurus Raging Bull appears as the Colby RSA. The Colby Revolving Side Arm's .44 caliber rounds do a lot of damage even at long range, offset by a slower rate of fire than other comparable models. Since it is a revolver it only has six shots in the cylinder, compared to the ACT 44's eight round magazines. It deals greater damage than the ACT 44, usually only requiring 3 shots to kill unless the target has Kevlar or Clotting Agent 3, but has fewer shots per mag/cyl and a slightly slower rate of fire and reload. The RSA also deals considerable recoil with each shot, making continuous fire difficult and inaccurate. However, when aimed carefully, the RSA is able to take down even Marksman/Sniper targets at long ranges.

Heckler & Koch USP

The Obeya FBW (Obeya Fall Back Weapon) resembles the Heckler & Koch USP. It is usually the first Secondary Weapon bought by new players looking to upgrade from the Colby SNR 850. This pistol is extremely versatile with no real weaknesses, even though it is not as powerful as some of the other higher end Secondary Weapons it more than holds its own due to its high rate of fire and quick reload speed. Another strength of the FBW is that it holds its accuracy very well during sustained fire, allowing players to continually shoot on targets in confidence, even at medium range. Even though most players will eventually move on to the ACT 44 or Colby RSA when their rating is high enough, the FBW can still continue to be effective, especially for players who prefer a faster rate of fire and larger magazine size.

Desert Eagle Mk XIX

The ACT 44 resembles the Desert Eagle Mk XIX. The Agrotech Co. of Tanberia uses high-caliber magnum rounds to give it a high damage output at medium to long range. The high damage per round make it one of the most useful weapons for players using specialized primary weapons such as Rocket Launchers or Light Machine Guns since it can be used as a general purpose weapon so they can save their Primary Weapon ammo. It has a slightly higher rate of fire, larger magazine size and quicker reload time than the Colby RSA which is it is often compared to which can often be enough to balance the 1 less shot required to kill the RSA has. However the RSA has considerably higher accuracy when being fired at long ranges, while the ACT is able to sustain its accuracy during continuous fire, making the ACT more suited to medium range use, possibly as an alternative to the Obeya FBW.

This Premium version of the ACT 44. Originally designed for first prize in the yearly San Paro pistol shooting competition, this gold-plated pistol has made it onto the open market. With a built-in scope and improved grip, it provides a greater zoom than its generic counterpart.

Vektor Z88

The Joker RFP-9 (Rapid Fire Pistol which resembles the Vektor Z88) is the only Secondary Weapon capable of firing in a three-round burst, and if the player is able to land all three rounds on the target it can easily be one of the most deadly. The relatively high damage output, however, is somewhat mitigated by the short effective range and small magazine size of the weapon. Compared to most of the other Secondary Weapons the Joker also has a relatively slow rate of fire. The three-round burst means that the player does not always have to be quite as accurate to land some rounds on target, but care should be taken to ensure that all rounds of a burst land on target to avoid a potentially costly reload.

Heckler & Koch PDW

The S-AS PDW (Somatic Advanced Systems Personal Defense Weapon) which resembles the Heckler & Koch MP7 is highly comparable to the N-FA 9 and should be used in exactly the same manner. The main differences are that this weapon sacrifices some Health and Hard damage in favor of a slightly larger magazine size. While the N-FA 9 offers better damage and a quicker kill time at point blank range, the S-AS PDW maintains a steadier bullet grouping while draining the magazine. This grouping often allows the player to land more shots than with an N-FA, whereas at a distance of even 10m a player may empty an N-FA magazine only to find their opponent still alive.

Sub-machine Guns:

Uzi

The Colby PMG-28 (which resembles the Uzi) is a long-standing favorite with the San Paro Community. A versatile close range weapon, its payload packs a mean punch and can be deployed accurately up to medium ranges.

MP5K

The OCA-EW 626 (Obeya Corps Armoury) which resembles the MP5K, Experimental Weaponry division's sub-machine gun is the finesse counterpoint to the shotguns raw damage. In the right hands an SMG can be every bit as lethal, or even more so than shotguns. Similar to the machine pistol secondary weapons the SMG is capable of firing off an incredible amount rounds in a short space of time and can be a very effective close to mid range suppression weapon.

Assault Rifles

AKS-47

The AKS-47 appears in the game as the N-TEC 5 as an assault rifle which has a high rate of fire but average damage.
