Susan Sarandon (born Susan Abigail Tomalin) is an American actress whose film credits include roles in such films as The Rocky Horror Picture Show, The Client, The Hunger, Bull Durham, Atlantic City, and notably as Louise in the 1991 film Thelma & Louise. In 1996, she received the Academy Award for Best Actress for her role in the 1995 film Dead Man Walking. Her last name Sarandon was derived from fellow actor Chris Sarandon, to whom she was married from 1967 to 1979. She was also known for her relationship with her Bull Durham co-star Tim Robbins, who were together from 1988 to 2009 from and with whom she has two children.
