Steamboy is a animated feature film from Katsuhiro Otomo (director of Akira and Memories), and currently the most expensive anime film ever made, with a total production cost of approximately $26,000,000. Set in an alternate 19th-century England, the plot concerns the discovery of a fictional ultra-pure form of water, which inventor Lloyd Steam and his son Edward have realised can be used to create a "Steamball," a device capable of producing almost unlimited power. When a package containing the prototype Steamball and instructions to guard it is delivered to Lloyd's grandson Ray, he soon finds himself being pursued by a group called the O'Hara Foundation who intend to take the ball for themselves.
The following guns can be seen in the anime film Steamboy:
Gatling Gun
The Steam Castle has side mounted Gatling Guns manned by crewmen.
MAS-36
The men trying to stop the O'Hara Foundation use the MAS-36 rifle as their standard weapon. Some are modified to fire grenades.
Bodeo M1889
Lloyd Steam uses a Bodeo M1889 revolver.
Unidentified Flare Pistol
Jason, one of the O'Hara Foundation's henchman, uses a Flare Gun to alert another nearby henchman. It looks like a two-barreled pepperbox-type pistol of unknown design.
Borchardt C-93
Alfred Svenson uses a Borchardt C-93 pistol, fired from a crouching stance, to shoot and wound Ray's grandfather.
Lever-Action Launcher
Several of the O'Hara Foundation's "Steam Soldiers" carry fictional, lever-action grenade launchers.
