State of Siege (original title État de Siège) is a 1972 French-Italian-West German political thriller directed by Costa-Gavras. Philip Michael Santore (Yves Montand), the US advisor in some Latin America state, is kidnapped by local leftist guerrilla.

Numerous guerrillas use M1911A1-style pistols. Some of them are stainless steel or nickel plated.
