Starsky & Hutch is the 2004 feature film adaptation of the 1970's television series of the same name. The film is a comedic take on the series and stars Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson in the roles originated by Paul Michael Glaser and David Soul.
The following guns were used in the 2004 film Starsky & Hutch:
Handguns
Rock Island Armory Commander
David Starsky (Ben Stiller) carries a Rock Island Armory Commander with a stainless bushingless barrel, a stainless full-length guide rod, ambidextrous safety, a beavertail grip safety and Colt Series 70 checkered grips (some of these features were not available in 1975, when the film takes place) as his sidearm in the film.
Starsky fires his RIA Commander at a running suspect. The fleeing perpetrator doesn't have a visible weapon, therefore, (in real life) Starsky would be reprimanded for firing on an unarmed suspect.
After Starsky accidentally shoots Huggy Bear's (
Snoop Dogg) iguana, his RIA Commander stovepipes on him.

Starsky points his RIA Commander at Hutch when he tries to push a dead body away from the shore, hoping another precinct will find it.

Starsky fires seven rounds into Feldman's garage door, claiming he is hiding his drugs in there. To his horror, he finds a pony instead with seven new bullet holes in it. Note how his gun stovepiped once again.
Starsky points his RIA Commander at Feldman when he takes Hutch hostage.
Like an idiot, Starsky spins around and fires his RIA Commander behind his back, which ends up completely off target and wounds Starsky's Captain, Cpt. Dobey (
Fred Williamson).
Despite hearing only one shot, it appears two shell casings are seen in mid-flight, this is actually one shell casing and its shadow.

Colt Python
Ken "Hutch" Hutchinson (Owen Wilson) is seen using a 4" Colt Python at the beginning of the film while undercover as a robber. One of the Bay City Police officers who arrests these robbers is also seen with a 4" Python. For the rest of the film, Hutch uses a 6" Colt Python as his sidearm.

Walther PPK/S
Reese Feldman (Vince Vaughn) takes a Walther PPK/S with a stainless finish, fitted with a sound suppressor out of his cooler to kill one of his men on his yacht.

Feldman takes his Walther PPK/S out of his cooler. This is definitely not the best place to store a gun.
"
This perm...costs money." Like many criminals, Feldman doesn't exercise caution when using firearms. Finger on the trigger, pointed at his own head.

Walther PPK
Instead of his stainless PPK/S seen earlier in the film, Feldman holds a polished nickel plated Walther PPK to Hutch's (Owen Wilson) neck after he is busted selling drugs during his fund raiser. He fires several shots into the air before running out and driving away in his car.

Smith & Wesson Model 19 Snub
One of Huggy Bear's (Snoop Dogg) men is seen with a snub nose Smith & Wesson Model 19, drawing it when Starsky (Ben Stiller) accidentally shoots the tail off of Huggy Bear's iguana. Starsky is also seen using a snub nose Model 19 in an attempt to intimidate Chau (George Cheung) by playing a game of Russian Roulette with him. Chau notices how he "inconspicuously" drops the round into his sleeve. But Chau also notices how the round miraculously falls back into the gun, which Starsky fails to realize. Luckily Hutch stops Starsky before he accidentally shoots himself.
Smith & Wesson Model 19 Snub - .357 Magnum.
Huggy Bear's thug shows off his Smith & Wesson Model 19 Snub in his holster, which is clearly not meant for a snub nosed gun.
The thug unsnaps his holster.
The thug points his Snub Model 19 at Starsky.
The thug explains to everyone what a terrarium is.
Posters are seen on the wall of Starsky's apartment showing Smith & Wesson Model 19 snubs in different color tones.
Starsky unloads his snub nose Model 19 while interrogating Chau.
Starsky dumps the rounds on the table and picks up one to load in the gun. Note how the rounds are dummies, indicated by the dented primers.
Starsky secretively drops the round into his sleeve, which Chau notices and scoffs at.
The smirk leaves Chau's face when he sees the round fall out from his sleeve and miraculously fall into one of the chambers. Starsky fails to notice this.

One of the robbers with Hutch is seen briefly using a Smith & Wesson Model 10 revolver, although the gun is replaced with an Enfield No.2 later.

Smith & Wesson Model 64
Both Hutch (continuity error) and a BCPD officer are seen armed with stainless steel Smith & Wesson Model 64 revolvers at the beginning of the film. Later, Reese Feldman's (Vince Vaughn) henchmen Kevin (Jason Bateman) is seen holding a Model 64 on the police in the crowd during the fundraiser when Feldman takes Hutch hostage.

Instead of the 4" Colt Python seen above, Hutch is now seen with a Smith & Wesson Model 64.

Smith & Wesson Model 36
After accidentally taking a gram of cocaine with his coffee, Starsky goes out to a disco club under the extreme influence. After losing a disco Dance-Off to another dancer, he draws a Smith & Wesson Model 36 from his ankle holster and holds it on his opponent. As people run away screaming, he calmly explains that he is a cop (while firing his gun into the air mind you) before Hutch tackles him to the ground and he snaps out of his "high".

Remington 700
Chau (George Cheung) takes shots at Starsky and Hutch with a wood stock Remington 700 sniper rifle, only succeeding in shooting up Starsky's Gran Torino before driving away.

That's got to be one of the most half-assed sniper reticules I've ever seen.
