The following guns are used on the show Stargate: SG1:

Stargate SG-1 (1997-2007)
Main cast in seasons 9-10 & Movies

Pistols

Beretta M9

The most common sidearm seen in used by the SG teams (although in real life, the M9 is the military designation for the Beretta, the prop weapons used in the show are most likely the civilian 92F).

Beretta 92FS 9mm
SGM92.jpg

((Refering to the pics above) We've always wondered how much ammo does the guys have? We rarely see any of them reloading at all, and we get this were they were all forced to draw pistols. The only few times we see all of them holding pistols.

SGCM92.jpg
SGCM92F.jpg

In the episode 200, Mitchell imagined himself fighting zombies. If you forgot about this episode, yes zombies. When he was doing his last stand backing towards the activating gate, he took out an M9 with a stainless steal slide.

SGCM9200.jpg
SGCM92001.jpg

In season 8, episode 15, the guy who does Homer Simpson's voice (Dan Castellaneta) played a character who threatened O'neill with a fake M9, who dropped it when Jack got his own gun out.

SGCM92homer.jpg

Smith & Wesson 5906

Seen in the episode "Wormhole Extreme" by alien humans.

SG1gun1.jpg
SG1gun2.jpg

COP .357 Derringer

Used by a lowly security guard in the episode "Badguys", season 10. It was never fired in the episode.

Vektor CP1

In the episode "Company of Thieves, one of the Lucian soldiers pointed this gun at Carter a few times. It looks like a Vektor CP1 with a black slide. It was also seen in the hands of Netan and other Lucian Alliance soldiers, especially one that killed Colonel Emerson, the first commander of the Odyessy.

Unknown Revolver

In the episode "Icon", one of the characters on the alien world was seen using this revolver as his side arm. There weren't enough close up shots to see it clearer. It doesn't seem like a single action revolver.

SG1revolver1.jpg

Dressed up Beretta M92F

Seen in the episode "Icon", used by the main villian at the end. This prop was later seen in Stargate Atlantis as the standard sidearm of the Genii people.

Beretta M93R

Seen in used by US Secret Service agents to attempt to fend off what they didn't know, a hologram of Anubis and also the Trust agent Hoskins. It could just be the trick of the eye, but it looked like the scenes where this gun was fire was on full auto, but most likely the actors just pulling the triggers very fast in 3 round bursts, or just the special effects making it look like full auto. And boy does Hoskins have so much extra clips. It was interesting to see a constant reload when the character Hoskins kept on unloading his gun and then just eject and reloaded, while walking casually away. It actually makes more sense since the guy was just emptying round after round at everything, mostly at doors so he can escape.

If you look closely, you can see that they have the slide-mounted safety/de-cocker switch, whereas the 93R has it mounted on the frame. That means they're actually Beretta 92Fs dressed up to resemble M93Rs (with fake forward grips and flash hiders) and probably converted to auto with drop-in units; identical guns have also appeared in Harsh Realm and I, Robot (which were both done by the same armorers who worked on this show).

Sig Sauer P228

From a glance this gun seen in Season 8, episode 8 in the hands of the character Alec Colson while he seriously thinks about killing himself before Sam stops him. This is Sig Sauer P228.

SG1SSgun.jpg File:SG1SSgun2.jpg File:SG1SSgun3.jpg File:SG1SSgun4.jpg

Submachine Guns

H&K MP5A3

The main weapon used by all SG teams for the first few seasons. Then when the main cast and some supporting and extras switched the P90s, the MP5 was only seen a few times, notable in the episodes Heroes part 1 and battle in part 2 that became part of the Opening for the next couple seasons. Later also seen in use by the Free Jaffa Nation. MP5 also makes a small comeback when we see them again in the hands of a special assault unit attacking a Trust compound.

SG1MP5.jpg

(Refering to the pic above) We can assume this was before Michael Shanks (Guy playing Daniel Jackson) learned how to hold a pistol correctly, but it fits his character. Just concerned about McGuyver having a gun accidently pointed at him by a guy with the finger on the trigger. Seemed to be a popular theme if you really pay attention in the series

SG1MP5A2.jpg

(Refering to the pic below) MP-5s made a short prominent comeback as we see an entire team of young recruits armed with them, though storywise, they were really intars. Kinda showing the audience the posibility of a spin-off with these guys. We only see a couple of them in a few later episodes, older, and the girl in the back later becomes popular in a role in Battlestar Galactica, another great series filmed right next to Stargate.

SG1MP5A5.jpg

Aside from a few scenes, the MP-5 never becomes noticable for the rest of the series while it gets overshadowed by countless P90 closeups and bigger guns like M4s, G36s, and M60s.

FN P90 Personal Defense Weapon

AKA "The gun of Stargate"

This became the most common weapon after its introduction in Season 4, Episode 8 ("The First Ones"). In the episode that introduced it, O'neil suggested the weapon because of the ammo was more penetrating than the MP-5 despite taking assault rifles would also work, like the numorious M16s and M4s they have or something with more stopping power. We can assume it was just a device in the script just to bring this weapon the weapon that is identified when anyone thinks of of the Stargate series. The series probably picked this weapon from its futuristic look, something unique from the other weapons at the time and probably because the budget allowed for the expensive ammunition that comes with a P90, even blanks would cost a lot of money.

In a few episodes in the later seasons, on Teal'c has been seeing duel wielding this SMG, probably because he wasn't trained in the standard practices of Earth military and he is just that much of a badass with 2. Also seen used once by Bra'tac and in the hands of the Free Jaffa. Introduced to the Free Jaffa in Season 5 episode "The Warrior". Any subsequent episode with the free Jaffa, we these in their hands over staff weapons.

I can be wrong and use the "This is fiction excuse", but I don't think the real US Airforce uses P90s at all.

A scene where Carter shows the Jaffa that P90 kicks ass while staff weapons suck ass. Despite the fact that we always see the staff weapons kick human asses half the time.

SG1P908.jpg

H&K MP7

If fact is correct, the MP7 has only been seen in use by the SG team in only one episode. At the end, Teal'c in all his badass glory, duel wields 2 of them. Since then, the MP7 has not been seen in used by the SG teams and only a handful of extras are seen holding them. In the episode 200, Mitchell, in his own imagination was seeing duel wielding MP7s without any sights and extended magazines fending off Zombies. The episode first showing this was probably the series trying to replace the iconic P90s since obviously you would think how expensive blank 5.7mm's are. Apparently it didn't work out thought Teal'c and Mitchell duel wielding them are John Woo homage.

In Mitchell's imagination he'd say - "Teal'c doesn't have shit on me."

Scorpion SA Vz 61

Seen in used in one episode by humans of another planet.

Scorpion1.jpg
Scorpion2.jpg
Scorpion3.jpg

Beretta PM12S

Seen used in the same episode "Badguys" as the Scorpion by security guards and the police of that planet. One was also taken by Teal'c so he can duel wield it.

What is the deal with Teal'c and duel wielding anyway?
Badass is what it is.

Blade's Mac-10

Used by the head thug on a planet, I refer it as "Blade's Mac-10" because it is the same prop if not a similiar construstion to the weapon we see Blade use in Blade 1 and maybe it is the verison in Blade 2. Seen in the episode "Off the Grid". The head thug used it in a couple scenes before taking SG1's MP-7.

Steyr SPP

At first, I thought this could be a Steyr TMP in the hands of a thug in the episode "Off the Grid" until someone pointed out that the civilian verison doesn't have the vertical foregrip.

It is a Steyr SPP with an Aimpoint sight attached to the optional rail that is available for the SPP. However the front flash hider is completely custom.

Shpagin PPSh-41

We see at the end of the episode "Icon", the religious rebels were seen using them and also the leader Soran took one from his zealots.

SG1PPSH.jpg
SG1PPSH2.jpg
SG1PPSH3.jpg

M1 Thompson

Seen in used by Mitchell in the movie Continuum is an M1 Thompson noted by cheap rear sights and side mounted bolt, but Mitchell went back in time and used this gun in 1939, which makes it a major continuity error since the M1 and M1A1 weren't made until 1942 when the US entered WWII.

Shotguns

Franchi SPAS-12

Notable seen in used to fight against the Replicators of our galaxy.

USAS-12 Assault Shotgun

Seen mostly in the episodes where we see Replicators, but was actually seen in te first episode "Children of the gods" . The USAS-12 shotguns in SG1 are customized in that they don't have a front sight and have shortened barrels.

Dao-12 Striker

This was portrayed as a grenade launcher. Seen used by Jack O'neill a few times.

New Haven Model 600AT

In one episode, the general and Mitchell were seen carrying pump action shotguns. General Landry is carrying a New Haven Model 600AT 12ga Shotgun with a 28" ribbed barrel.

Winchester Model 120 Ranger

The shotgun that Mitchell is carrying is the Winchester Model 120 Ranger with a 28" barrel. It is chambered in 12ga.

Ithaca 37

In the Episode Evolution part 2, a Honduran terrorist uses a chopped down Ithaca Model 37 12 gauge shotgun.

Assault Rifles

M16A2

Seen used by Marines, and the security of Stargate Command.

These are all Colt Model 715s, which are equivalent to the Diemaco C7, not M16A2s. If you look closely, you can see they all have the A1-style rear sight (adjustable for windage but NOT elevation, unlike the A2-style rear sight).
I agree. That's what we get for filming a show in Canada.... :)
Al Vrkljan told me on the The Incredible Hulk (2008) page that Canadian armorers can't acquire Colt Canada rifles, either, because they only sell to military/LE. But those guns do look very C7-ish to me...

SG1M162.jpg
SG1M163.jpg

M16A1

Never understood why the guy on the left always seem to hold onto his M16 slung behind him, as if to keep it from swinging around. Isn't that what slinging your rifle on your back is for? The point is so it doesn't swing around and bother you.

GAU-5/A

The GAU-5/A was the USAF contract version of the XM177 "CAR-15" short assault rifle. The USAF Security forces used them until recently, however, most of the non firing GAU-5/As seen in the show were simply XM177E2 "Airsoft guns". The actual GAU-5/A carbines look like the XM177E2 but don't have forward Assist buttons.

"Carter Special" Micro Carbine

This is a customized Armalite M15A4 Carbine with a short 11.5" barrel, aftermarket quadruple-rail SOPMOD accessory forend, and a modified thumb-hole stock taken from a Sterling AR-180 rifle. It is used with an ELCAN sight and a Beta C-Mag dual-lobed 100-round drum and can mount a vertical foregrip and a side-mounted flashlight on the accessory rail. It first appears in Season 7, Episode 9 ("Avenger 2.0"). It gets its name from Major Samantha Carter, the only character who carries it. We later also see it in Episode 18 of Season 7, Heroes Part 2

Carterspecial.jpg

Interesting: Anyone notice that the solo shot of the gun has no brass deflector on the upper receiver and yet the screenshots of Tapping show that her firing gun HAS the brass deflector. Is that a non firing prop for the show? Or perhaps a fan's airsoft "homage"? GREAT SHOTS!

Yeah, the one in that illustration is a custom airsoft gun. I saw somebody post it on an airsoft forum I used to visit. Interestingly enough, I believe I remember reading about another SG1 fan who built an actual firing copy (as a registered semi-auto SBR) on an Olympic OA-93 or some similar gun like that.
Why would he need to convert an OA-93? The Carter Micro special has a buttstock and a buffer tube, so having the custom gun built on an OA-93 is completely unnecessary. All you need is a standard AR15 and register it as an SBR and put the 7" AR pistol barrel on it. The rest can be built on a standard A1 or A2 upper receiver. :)
Not sure exactly, but I'm pretty sure I remember them saying that was the gun they used. I wish I could find the forum topic where I saw it, but it was so many years ago now.
It would makes sense if the owner already had the OA-93 and converted it to a short rifle (thus already having it registered as an SBR). He may not have wanted to go through the paperwork of registering yet another SBR from a new gun. :)
Glad the that pistol isn't real or blanks since Dr. Felger (Patrick McKenna) has his finger in the trigger all the time and POINTING AT SAM...

H&K G3 SG-1

Used in a few episode, once with O'neil. This is the real name of the rifle, and a coincidence to the name of the team that used it on occasion.

Notable seen in one episode. If there are any seen used, please someone point out which episode so I can find it.

I am very proud I was able to remember and find which episode this rifle was seen in. -Excalibur01

H&K G36K

Several times in the last couple season, this rifle was seen in used by the Marines or Mitchel. We've first seen this rifle introduced to SG-1 in "Off The Grid" where Mitchell used it. Same episode we saw the MP-7. The people behind the scenes must of had a deal with H&K at the time to show case their guns. The G36K has been seen plenty of times, but the MP-7 was never seen again. Most of the time, it is seen equiped with a flashlight, and a foregrip.

AK Variants

First seen used by the Russian SG team in "Tomb", also by Honduran terrorists, seen in use by another race of humans first seen in the episode "Icon" and then again once by Mitchell in the Continuum movie.

One scene, this Russian SG woman was using what appeared to be an AK47 variant (with a .223 magazine - could be a Type 84, or if the receiver has an RPK reinforcing bar, it could be the Zastava M90 chambered in 5.56mm NATO), but in the next scene, it appeared to be an AK74.
The magazine appears to be Norinco Type 84-style, and there are lots of those in Hollywood's rental armories.
Could be but since SG1 is filmed in Canada, none of the California armorers work on the show and Canadian armorers can still get a lot of stuff that we Americans can't (despite their ridiculous gun restrictions for the 'common folk').
Yeah, possibly. I admit the fact that the M70B appears in the show suggests it could be an M90. However, I seem to recall seeing at least one episode of this show where the AK74 I saw was definitely a Type 84 (hooded front sight, smooth receiver cover, plus less-curved mag).

In Season 7, Episode 11 "Evolution" Part 1 & 2, a Honduran rebel holds a Yugoslavian Crvena Zastava M70B1 (7.62x39mm). To the right, Rafael (Frank Roman) wields a Zastava M70-AB2 (7.62x39mm).
In Season 7, Episode 11 "Evolution" Part 1 & 2, an 'undead' Chalo (Victor Favrin) wields a Zastava M70B1(7.62x39mm).

M1 Garand

In the episode "Icon", both the human factions on the alien world uses these rifles along with their AKs. It was seen in the hands of security guards and soldiers. Daniel also held one at the end of the episode.

Unknown hunting rifles

In a couple scenes of one episode, several hunting rifles were shown being shot and held but big game hunters. The hunter nearest to the camera is shooting a Remington Model 7600 pump-action hunting rifle.

Heavy Weapons

M72 LAW

M72A2 LAW (Light Anti-armor Weapon) - 72mm

FIM-92 Stinger Missile

Seen possibly only once in first season, "Children of the gods" by someone from SG-2 to take out a glider. This is the correct weapon to use for surface to air attack unlike seen using the AT-4

Sam'sstinger.jpg
Sam'sstinger2.jpg
Sam'sstinger3.jpg

M203 Grenade Launcher Attachment

Seen attached to M4s and M16s. I think it was used only a handful of times. In prop wise, these were all most likely 37mm flare launchers meant to mimic the appearence of an M203, but for the sake of what was presented in story, they are 203s in the SG universe obviously.

They ARE the Cobray CM203 flare launchers. What tips them off is the absence of a second trigger, the shape of the trigger guard, the lack of a step up in the receiver, and the cocking lever on the SIDE of the receiver. Good call.

Mortar Unknown type

Seen in one episode briefly, Orpheus, SG-1 and other teams used mortars for support.

SG1morter1.jpg
SG1morter.jpg

M136 AT-4

M136 AT4 Rocket Launcher - 84mm

Most commonly 'misused' as a surface-to-air missile to shoot down Goa'uld Death Gliders, however, the AT-4 is an 84mm Anti Tank Weapon. It has also been used just as a weapon to make big explosions.
