M1928A1

This weapon is used by Capone's (Jason Robards) hitmen during the Massacre. This is a big mistake because the M1928A1 was made in the 40's when this take place in the late 20's early 30's, They would more likely have used the M1928 with front pistol grip. Another mistake is the fact that in real life one Thompson held a 50 round drum while the other held a 20 round clip while in the film they both carry 50 round drums. This is also used by Frank Gusenberg (David Canary) in the scene where he tries to kill Capone's men.

M1928A1 Thompson with 50-round drum magazine - .45 ACP

M1928

In the drive by scene Moran (Roger Corman) and one of his men can be seen using an M1928. This is used in several occasions in the film. It is also seen in the hands of Capone on the poster.

M1928 "Tommy Gun" .45 ACP with 50-round drum magazine, made famous through countless classic gangster movies

12 Double Barrel Shotgun

In the Massacre the two Capone hitmen disguised as police men use this on Moran's men. This is correct because it said 4 shotgun shells were fired. It is also seen being held by Peter Gusenberg (George Segal) when Frank goes into attack Capone's men.

Charles Parker 1878 Side by Side Shotgun - 12 Gauge. The Parker Gun Company was absorbed into Remington in 1934.

Winchester M1912

In a street fight we can see a mobster use what looks like a Winchester Model 1912.

Winchester Model 1912 Riot Gun - 12 gauge

Colt Police Positive

The hitmen who tell Moran's men to line up on the wall during the massacre use Colt Police Positive revolvers. This makes sence to use a weapon used by Cops.

Colt Police Positive - .38spl.

Colt Detective Special

This weapon makes several appearences throughout the film. when the fake cops check Moran's men, the fake cop pulls out a Nickel Plated Colt Detective Special. It is also held by Capone's men when they hold two people hostage during Capone's toast just before he kills them with a baseball bat, this resembles a scene from the untouchables where Capone gives a speech and then kills a man with a baseball bat. This weapon is used by two of Capone's men to kill one of Moran's employees.

Colt Detective Special - .38 Special

Colt M1911

When the fake cop is checking Moran's men he pulls out a M1911 from Frank Gusenberg.

Colt M1911 pistol - .45 ACP.

McGurns storage wall

When Nick Sorello (Frank Silvera) tells Jack McGurn (Clint Ritchie) he doesn't have a gun, he spins the book case around to reveal a wall composing of 2 Thompsons (M1928 & M1928A1), 4 sections to hold Winchester Model 1912 Shotguns (even though you only see three), and 3 12 Gauge double Barreled Shotguns, along with a Colt Detective Special Revolver and a Colt Model 1911.
