Sherlock Holmes (Sherlok Holms) is a Russian 2013 TV series, directed by Andrey Kavun and starring Igor Petrenko as Sherlock Holmes and Andrey Panin as Dr. Watson. The series use plots of various Arthur Conan Doyle's works but shows them in a very non-canon way. In the series Holmes is twenty-seven years old genius thinker but awkward and intense man while Watson is much elder man, a veteran Army medic, who teaches Holmes shooting and boxing. Trying to make a name for himself as a writer, Watson begins describing the detective cases, solved by Holmes, often embellishing the real events.

Note: according to the interview of director Andrey Kavun, the guns in the series are from Lenfilm prop stores, so many of these revolvers are doubtless same guns that were seen in earlier Lenfilm series about Holmes and Watson, Priklyucheniya Sherloka Holmsa i doktora Vatsona (1980-1987).

The following weapons were used in the television series Sherlock Holmes:

Revolvers

Webley .455 Mk VI

Dr. Watson's (Andrey Panin) "old army revolver" is a Webley .455 Mk VI (this model was adopted only in 1915 and doesn't fit for the time of the events). Watson's revolver is seen in hands of Sherlock Holmes (Igor Petrenko) in several episodes. Except for the duo, Webley Mk VI is used by Morstan (Valeriy Zaytsev) in "Rock, Scissors, Paper" and Gilbert Roy (Leonid Timtsunik) in "The Mistresses of Lord Maulbray". It's worth noting that in the scene in "Halifax" when the Webley is shown firing, it works only as single action revolver.

Note: see additional images in talk page.

Webley Mk. VI - .455 Webley
Watson cocks the hammer of his Webley when he hears suspicious noise from Holmes' room (Ep.1-2 "221B Baker Street").
Morstan (Valeriy Zaytsev), a member of gang of cabmen, fires at Holmes and Watson in Ep.3-4 "Rock, Scissors, Paper". Watson identified the sound of the gunshot as "Webley Mk III".
Holmes picks up Morstan's revolver and replies: "You are right, this is Mk III". Note the custom plain grips.
Watson holds his Webley during the ambush on gang of cabmen.
Sherlock Holmes-2013-E0304-WebleyMkVI-8.jpg
When Watson prepares for the duel with Capt. Sholto, he unloads his revolver...
...and loads it with a single cartridge.
Gilbert Roy (Leonid Timtsunik) holds a Webley in Ep. 7-8 "The Mistresses of Lord Maulbray". In previous moment he had a Nagant M1895, then his revolver switches to a Webley Mk VI and then to a Reichsrevolver M1883 due to several continuity errors.
Watson hits escaping Roy with a well aimed shot.
Watson holds his revolver in the scene in the National Bank vault in Ep.11-12 "Halifax".
Watson fires while riding a bicycle.

Holmes fires Watson's revolver at a lab rat that became unstoppable agressive after Holmes' experiment with special needles that Irene Adler stole from German Ambassador's safe (Ep.13-14 "Holmes's Last Case".
Watson holds his revolver in the scene in the workshop of a gunsmith, working for Moriarty, in Ep.15-16 "The Baskerville Hound".

Rast-Gasser M1898

Rast-Gasser M1898 revolvers are widely used throughout the series, notably by Inspector Lestrade (Mikhail Boyarskiy) and Professor Moriarty (Aleksey Gorbunov). Certainly a single prop is used. Like many other guns in the series, Rast-Gasser is out of time and out of place.

Note: see additional images in talk page.

Moriarty aims his Rast-Gasser revolver at Holmes in the scene at Reichenbach Falls in Ep.13-14 "Holmes's Last Case".
Moriarty's revolver is seen during the fight.
Holmes disarms Moriarty. In next moment the revolver switches to a Reichsrevolver M1883 due to a continuity error.
When the revolver falls in snow, it switches back to Rast-Gasser.

Reichsrevolver M1879

Reichsrevolver M1879 revolvers are also seen throughout the series. Certainly a single prop is used. While this revolver somewhat fits for that time, it hardly is common for Britain.

Reichsrevolver M1879 - 10,6x25R
A robber at the background holds a Reichsrevolver M1879 during the attack on the coach of an Indian prince in Ep.3-4 "Rock, Scissors, Paper".
Inspector Tracy (Anatoliy Rudakov) holds a Reichsrevolver M1879.

US Ambassador (Yaroslav Boyko) fires a Reichsrevolver M1879, loaded with blanks, at an escaping person who is supposed to be Charles Gautier, being in affair with Ambassador's wife (Ep.5-6 ""Clowns").
Jealous Ambassador makes a staged attempt on Charles Gautier.
A flashback scene shows the Ambassador with his revolver in hand while discussing the problem with Holmes who secretly visited Ambassador's residence at night.
A Royal Navy sailor Tom Taylor (Sergey Burunov) (in reality an agent on Her Majesty's secret service) aims his revolver at Admiral Wills who turned out to be a traitor.
Another view of Taylor's revolver.
During the shootout in the National Bank vault in Ep.11-12 "Halifax" Inspector Tracy's (Anatoliy Rudakov) Reichsrevolver M1883 switches to an M1879 due to a continuity error.
After the shootout the Galand revolver of robber Courtney (Oleg Botin) switches to a Reichsrevolver M1879 due to a continuity error.

Reichsrevolver M1883

Reichsrevolver M1883 revolvers are widely used throughout the series. It appears to be that two revolvers of this model are seen, one of the has a rim on the muzzle and a lanyard ring, and another one lacks both features. While this revolver somewhat fits for that time, it hardly is common for Britain.

Note: see additional images in talk page.

Lestrade holds a Reichsrevolver M1883 in the scene after the duel of Watson and Sholto. In previous moment Lestrade was armed with a Rast-Gasser 1898 but in this scene Rast-Gasser is seen in Sholto's hand.
Lord Henry Maulbray (Andrey Matyukov) holds a Reichsrevolver M1883 in Ep. 7-8 "The Mistresses of Lord Maulbray" when he plans to commit suicide in public lavatory on railway station. This is the revolver with slightly shorter barrel without a rim on the muzzle.
Holmes holds the revolver, interrogating Lord Henry.
Gilbert Roy (Leonid Timtsunik) holds a Reichsrevolver M1883 in Ep.7-8. In previous scenes he had a Nagant M1895 that switches to a Webley .455 Mk VI and then to Reichsrevolver due to several continuity errors.

Inspector Lestrade (Mikhail Boyarskiy) holds a Reichsrevolver M1883 instead of his usual Rast-Gasser after the shootout in the National Bank vault in Ep.11-12 "Halifax".
During the fight between Holmes and Moriarty at Reichenbach Falls in Ep.13-14 "Holmes's Last Case", when Holmes disarms Moriarty of his Rast-Gasser 1898, the revolver switches to a Reichsrevolver M1883 due to a continuity error.
Another view of Moriarty's revolver in Holmes' hands.
Police Inspector Higgis (Aleksey Shevchenkov) who turns out to be Moriarty' henchman suggests a Reichsrevolver M1883 to Johnson (Semyon Furman) who lost a large sum in gambling and wants to shoot himself (Ep. 15-16 "The Baskerville Hound").
Johnson takes the revolver and puts it to his head.
Higgis, now in police uniform, loads his revolver during the shootout with Watson on Big Ben clock tower. The lanyard ring on the grip is seen.
Higgis fires. The rim on the muzzle is seen.

Nagant M1895

Nagant M1895 revolvers are also used throughout the series, mainly in hands of police personnel. All revolvers are of post-1930 version. Like many other guns in the series, Nagant M1895 is out of time and out of place.

Note: see additional images in talk page.

Galand revolver

Some police constables and robbers (who turn out to be corrupt policemen) carry Galand revolvers, most likely Russian contract model in 12x14mmR. Most likely a single prop is used.

Galand M1868 - 12mm (or a lesser-known 7mm or 9mm).

Another robber, corrupt police Constable Fife (Aleksandr Baranov), holds a Galand. In next moment his revolver switches to a Rast-Gasser 1898.

British Constabulary

A Webley RIC revolver, most likely Belgian copy known as "British Constabulary", is used in Ep.3-4 "Rock, Scissors, Paper" by one of the robbers who attacked the coach of an Indian prince and by Inspector Tracy (Anatoliy Rudakov).

Pistols

Percussion Pocket Pistol

Irene Adler (Lyanka Gryu) owns a Percussion Pocket Pistol. Sherlock Holmes (Igor Petrenko) uses Irene's pistol in Ep.15-16 "The Baskerville Hound". According to the interview of director Andrey Kavun, this gun is a specially made for filming replica of a pistol from a private collection.

Moriarty casts a glance of the pistol and mentions that it was he who gifted this gun to Irene.

Flintlock Pistol Sword

A flintlock pistol sword is seen in Capt. Sholto's house in Ep.3-4 "Rock, Scissors, Paper". It is very likely a Denix replica.

Rifles and Muskets

Winchester Model 1895

During the boat chase in Ep.3-4 "Rock, Scissors, Paper" police Constable Gregson (Andrey Semenyuk) holds a Winchester Model 1895 rifle. This is a Russian contract version.

Karabiner 98k

Karabiner 98k rifles are used by several police constables in the scene at the doors of the club of 5th Northumberland Fusiliers regiment veterans in Ep.3-4 "Rock, Scissors, Paper" and by German soldiers, guarding the embassy, in Ep.13-14 "Holmes's Last Case".

Lee-Enfield

What appear to be a kind of Lee-Enfield rifle is seen in the flashback scene in Ep.3-4 "Rock, Scissors, Paper" that depicts the activities of 5th Northumberland Fusiliers in Afghanistan.

For comparison: Lee-Enfield No. 1 Mk III - .303 British
A rifle at the background has a general outlook similar to SMLE rifles, but it seems to have its magazine removed.

Mockup muskets

A number of long guns with flintlocks and percussion cap locks is seen in the flashback scene in Ep.3-4 "Rock, Scissors, Paper" that depicts the activities of 5th Northumberland Fusiliers in Afghanistan. These guns are mockups, supposedly fitted with genuine locks (such mockups can be seen in other Lenfilm productions). Possibly they are used to portray Snider-Enfields, due to the lack of more suitable props. Anyway, flintlock and percussion cap lock muzzleloading guns were too antique for British troops of that time.

Oriental Musket

An Oriental style musket is seen in Capt. Sholto's house in Ep.3-4 "Rock, Scissors, Paper". It's hard to say what kind of lock it has (if any). Possibly this is a non-firing decorative "wall-hanger".

Shotguns
