Pistols

Mauser C96

Both Hou Jie (Andy Lau) and as Cao Man (Nicholas Tse) both had Mauser C96s as their sidearms. A few of their soldiers also hand them.

Mauser Pocket Pistol

Hou Jie's and his wife both carried a Mauser Pocket Pistol. It is hard to tell which model it is.

Rifle

Hanyang 88

Hou Jie's, which later became Cao Man's soldiers all used what appeared to be the Chinese copy of the Gewehr 1888 called the Hanyang 88.

Mannlicher Gewehr 1888 - 7.92x57mm Mauser. This sample was an issued rifle in the Ottoman Empire based in its stampings. This is a movie armory weapon.

The M1888 bayonet is a spike bayonet designed for the Hanyang 88.

Bren gun

Cao Man (Nicholas Tse) and his soldiers were later using Bren guns as noted by the straight magazine.

Bren Gun - 7.92x57mm Mauser. This variant of the Bren was manufactured by Inglis in Canada and was supplied to the Chinese army during WWII.
