The Rookie (2018-)

The Rookie is a 2018 television series starring Nathan Fillion as John Nolan, a forty-something construction business owner who decides to move to Los Angeles and become an officer with the LAPD. During his probationary period, he must deal with the trials of being a new officer on the job at his age as well as animosity from his watch commander and other fellow officers. The series premiered in the US on ABC in October of 2018.

Glock 17 pistols fitted with Surefire X300 weaponlights are carried by LAPD training officers in the series, including PO3 Alyssa Diaz (Angela Lopez), PO3 Talia Bishop (Afton Williamson), and PO3 Tim Bradford (Eric Winter) . Police Sergeant II Wade Grey (Richard T. Jones) appears to carry a Glock 17 as his sidearm. He is seen holding the pistol in "The Switch" (S1E04). Captain Zoe Andersen (Mercedes Masöhn) also carries the Glock in "Flesh and Blood" (S1E10). The Glock 17 is likely a substitute for the Glock 22, the former department-issued sidearm of the LAPD.
