Romanzo Criminale (lit. "Criminal Novel"- the English release kept the original Italian title) is a 2008 Italian crime drama TV series. It is based on the 2002 novel of the same name by Giancarlo De Cataldo. The novel was inspired by the true story of the Banda della Magliana; a crime syndicate that took over Rome in the 1970s.
