Rescue: Special Ops was an Australian TV Series that ran for 3 series between 2009 and 2011.

Series 2 Episode 3 "Locked In" features a father trying to retain custody of his children, Conrad Hartigan (Andy Rodoreda), who uses a 12-gauge double-barrel shotgun to try and stop the rescue helicopter from taking off with his estranged wife and kids.
