Remington R51 - 9x19mm

The Remington R51 is a modern version of the John Pedersen Remington Model 51 pistol. The new R51 is made without sharp corners, flat and lightweight, maximally suited for concealed carry. The pistol grip with a large angle of inclination has excellent ergonomics, which provides high accuracy and accuracy of "instinctive" offhand shooting. Trigger type trigger mechanism, single action, with hidden location of the trigger. In addition, there is no safety catch on the Model 51.

The layout of the Remington R51 is similar to the Walther PP pistol, as it has a barrel rigidly fixed in a frame, around which a return spring is placed. A feature of this pistol is the use of John Douglas Pederson locking - a semi-free bolt with a barrel bore locking by friction between the bolt and the casing. This system was originally designed with the .45 ACP cartridge in mind. R51 shutter and casing are separate parts.
