Colt 1921 Thompson

John Dillinger, some of his gangsters, and FBI agent Melvin Purvis (Christian Bale) fire Thompson M1921 submachine guns throughout the film. One of Dillinger's Thompsons has the stock removed and is attached to a lanyard.
