The Probation (Ispytatelnyy Srok) is a 1960 Soviet movie by Vladimir Gerasimov based on the novel of Pavel Nilin. The story takes place in 1920s when two young men - Yegorov (Oleg Tabakov) and Zaytsev (Vyacheslav Nevinnyy) - begin their work in the Ugolovny Rozysk (Criminal Police) and has to prove themselves.

Nagant M1895 Revolver

Nagant M1895 revolvers are used by most characters of the movie including Yegorov (Oleg Tabakov), one of the young men, and Jur (Oleg Efremov), the chief of the department of Ugolovny Rozysk. All this revolvers are post-1930 Nagants due to the angular shape of the front sight.

FN Browning 1903 Pistol

FN Browning 1903 is used by the other of the young men, Zaytsev (Vyacheslav Nevinnyy). This pistol can be mistaken for TT but several screenshots prove that is is real Browning 1903 which is a rare case in movies. Later the Browning 1903 is seen in hands of a masked robber.
