Pitfall is a 1948 noir film directed by André De Toth on based on a novel by Jay Dratler. A middle class husband and father is bored with his humdrum life. He looks for excitement and becomes involved in stolen goods, adultery, and murder, thus risking his job, marriage, and life. The cast includes Dick Powell, Lizabeth Scott and Raymond Burr.
