PARANOIA is a freeware survival horror first-person shooter. Originally a Half-Life mod, it was eventually turned into a standalone freeware game on the Xash3D open source engine.

The following weapons appear in the video game PARANOIA:

Pistols

Stechkin APS

The APS is the first handgun you come across in the armory and it uses the Desert Eagle animations from Counter-Strike. It's a little odd giving the player a machine pistol for their secondary. a more appropriate choice for a standard issue Russian sidearm could have been a Makarov PM or a MP433 Grach which entered service 4 years prior. It holds only 12 shots instead of 20.

Glock 17c

The Glock 17c in the game has a silver ported slide and uses the same animations as the Glock 18 in Counter-Strike, Unlike in Counter-Strike it has a Magazine capacity of 17 rounds and you can aim down the sights in the game.

Makarov PM

The Makarov PM appears on posters but is not a usable weapon.

Submachine Guns

Heckler & Koch MP5A3

The Heckler & Koch MP5A3 is the only usable submachine gun, it has a new model and is still equipped with an M203 likely as a nod to Half-Life.

Assault Rifles

AKS-74N

The AKS-74N has a Bakelite magazine and polymer Furniture kind of like the AK-100 series

AKM

OTs-14 Groza

the OTs-14 Groza is more different then the other assault rifles where it's kitted with a scope and a Sionics 2 stage suppressor.

AS Val

The AS Val is like the OTs-14 Groza but it feals like its taking the role of a VSS Vintorez and when firing the gun doesn't play the traditional Hollywood "Pew" sound like in Golden Eye 007 instead you hear what could be interpreted as the gun being Quiet and you hear the Action of the firearm when firing.

Sniper Rifles

SVD Dragunov

The SVD Dragunov sniper rifle appears on a poster.

Machine guns

PKM

The PKM machine gun appears as a mounted weapon

PKS on Samojenkov tripod - 7.62x54mmR. Note the lack of a hinged shoulder strap on the stock and the fluted barrel; these differentiate the PK from the later PKM. This example is also seen with an earlier tripod without the modern tripod's belt box mount.
