In una notte di chiaro di luna (In A Moonlit Night) (1989)

In una notte di chiaro di luna (the title has many translations - most common is In A Moonlight Night, though a bunch of other variants used including In the light of moonlight and Crystal or Ash, Fire or Wind, as Long as It's Love (the last one is used on IMDb among with transcribed italian version) is a 1989 drama film by cult director Lina Wertmuller which was Italian-French co-production shot in London, Venice (Italy), New-York and Paris and starring Rutger Hauer, Nastassja Kinski, Peter O'Toole, Faye Dunaway and George Eastman (under his rarely seen in credits real name - Luigi Montefiori). It tells the story of John Knot (often misspelled as Knott, played by Rutger Hauer) - american journalist who works in a French newspaper, writing an article about the reaction against people with AIDS, without knowing he is infected too. Afetr meeting his old friend Zaccarias (George Eastman) he decides to leave his non-infected wife (Nastassja Kinski) and daughter.

Beretta Model 70

Beretta Model 70 - .32 ACP.

There are two pistols seen in the movie, both of them Beretta Model 70 and they're probably the same prop for budget restrictions and also, possibly, identifying people who has problems with AIDS. It's first seen in the scene of a suicide of a young couple (who think that they're HIV-positive, while they're not) and later in the hands of John Knot (Rutger Hauer) in the scene where he threatens Zaccarias with it.

Beretta Model 70 as it seen in the hands of a young man in the beginning of the film, just before he shoots his wife eith it.

Slightly another angle. A nice look on the trigger guard.
Knot aims his pistol at Zaccarias. The pistol is in the shadows but it's definently Beretta Model 70 - look at the trigger guard and the hammer.
Knot aims his pistol at his wife Joelle, because he want her not to be infected with his blood after struggle with Zaccarias. It's hard to recognise Rutger Hauer on this screen. But it's him.

Thanks for reading. --Kloga 23:05, 21 February 2011 (UTC)
