Browning Auto-5

Browning Auto-5s are seen carried by the prison guards and some of the deputies.

Remington Model 11 - 12 Gauge. Note how it lacks a magazine cut-off on the reciever, differentiating it from a genuine Browning A5 (This can only be seen on the left side of the receiver on the A-5).

Sheriff Cooley (Daniel von Bargen) carries a Remington 870, which is anachronistic for 1937.

Thompson M1928

Several of the posse chasing the gang carries Thompson M1928 submachine guns. George "Baby Face" Nelson (Michael Badalucco) also carries a Thompson.
