Colt Official Police

In the film the revolver is called a ".38 Smith" by the police investigators but it is not a Smith & Wesson firearm but actually a Colt Official Police. It is used by "Just Ray" Harris in the robbery of Looney Liquors and used by his mute son, "Silent Ray" (Spencer Treat Clark) and his friend John O'Shea (Andrew Mackin).

John O'Shea (Andrew Mackin) turns out to have stolen the revolver, which is revealed to be a Colt Official Police.
John O'Shea (Andrew Mackin) holds the Colt Official Police on Devine and Powers. He keeps both finger wrapped on the trigger, which indicates that the character is not trained in firearms usage.

SIG-Sauer P226

Being the standard weapon of the Massachusetts State Police, Sean Devine (Kevin Bacon) carries a SIG-Sauer P226 as his sidearm in the film. He begins to unholster it when he and Sergeant Powers (Laurence Fishburne) burst into the Harris home and are confronted by John O'Shea (Andrew Mackin) holding a Colt Official Police.

SIG-Sauer P226 - 9mm.

One of Jimmy's lackies hands him a Ruger KP90.
Jimmy examines the Ruger KP90.

Flintlock Rifles

The people in the parade at the end of the film are seen holding unknown flintlock rifles likely in honor of the Revolutionary War, a commonly celebrated event in Boston.
