The Muppet Movie (1979)

The Muppet Movie is a 1979 musical comedy directed by James Frawley and stars Charles Durning, Austin Pendleton, in addition to the Muppets. This was the first feature film for the Muppets, whose television show had already been on the air for three seasons. The film features cameos by many movie stars, including Dom DeLuise, James Coburn, Telly Savalas, Steve Martin, and Orson Welles. The sequel The Great Muppet Caper, was released in 1981. The Muppet Movie later was added to the National Film Registry by the Library of Congress in 2009.

Single Action Army

A member of the audience (uncredited) takes a shot at Fozzie during his act at the El Sleezo Cafe.

Tough room. Fozzie is shot at with an SAA. (This was the first time the Muppets had been shown from the waist down and this particular shot was done on a blue screen.)

Double Barreled Shotgun

Doc Hopper (Charles Durning) and his posse go after Kermit armed with Double Barreled Shotguns. Some of them are cut down to Coach Gun length.
