The Miroku Liberty Chief is a revolver produced by the Miroku Corporation in Japan. The Miroku appears to have been made for Japanese police (which were armed with the Nambu Model 60 revolver), though given its time of manufacture, it might have also been produced as a competition piece as much as a Nambu replacement. The Japanese police used revolvers during that period, but preferred to switch to semiautos as soon as they were able, and so Miroku instead almost completely exported the gun to the US under the EIG and Liberty Chief names.
