Mikhail Ivanovich Pugovkin (July 13, 1923 – July 25, 2008) was a Soviet and Russian stage and screen actor, known for his comedy roles. He appeared in over 100 movies in 1941-2004. His most famous roles are Pavel Stepanovich in Operation Y and Shurik's Other Adventures (1965), Yashka the Artilleryman in Wedding in Malinovka (Svadba v Malinovke) (1967), Father Fyodor in Twelve Chairs (1971), Yakin in Ivan Vasilievich: Back to the Future (1973).
