Man on Fire is a 1987 Italian-French action thriller starring Scott Glenn as Christopher Creasy, a burnt-out former CIA operative turned bodyguard of twelve-years-old Italian girl Samantha Balletto, daughter of a wealthy businessman. After some time they become close friends. Then Samantha is kidnapped, and Creasy got a severe wound. Despite weakness, Creasy is determined to get Samantha back at all costs.

The film is based on the 1980 novel of the same name written by A. J. Quinnell. The second screen adaptation of the novel appeared in 2004, directed by Tony Scott and starring Denzel Washington.

The following weapons were used in the film Man on Fire (1987):

Revolvers

Smith & Wesson Model 10 Snub Nose

Pistols

Benelli B76

Unidentified SMG(?) 2

Assault Rifles

M16 (Adler-Jager AP-74)

In the flashback scene in Beirut one of the combatants holds some version of M16. Several M16s of nondescript model are seen in Sandri's hideout. Three-prong flash hiders and the fact that the movie was filmed in Italy allows to guess that M16s are Italian produced .22 caliber Adler-Jager AP-74s.

Adler-Jager AP74 rifle - .22 LR. Note the sharply angled three prong flash hider and the forward assist, which differentiate it from the AP15.
A man at the right holds a very blurry M16-style gun. It seems to have wooden furniture that is one more argument pro Adler-Jager (model AP-74/L).
A pair of M16s is seen in Sandri's hideout: one on the floor, leaning against the cupboard, and another one on the table at the right.
Another view of Sandri's M16.
The M16 on the table is seen slightly better. It seems to have three-prong flash hider.

AK (Adler-Jager AP-80)

In the flashback scene in Beirut one of the combatants holds some version of AK. Its slim magazine allows to guess that the AK could be a Adler-Jäger AP-80, Italian blank firing AK replica.

Other Weapons
