Magnum P.I.

Colt M1911

This gun is Thomas Magnum's (Tom Selleck) main sidearm, sometimes carried in a shoulder holster, most often seen carried inside wast band small of back, no holster. It is sometimes seen in Magnum's flashbacks to Vietnam. A former propmaster for the show has been quoted saying that the original gun was a traditional .45 acp 1911, but was soon changed to a 9mm version because .45 acp blanks were to hard to get on location for the show.

Walther P38

This gun is used by Jonathan Higgins (John Hillerman) in the episode "Never Again.....Never Again".

Uzi

This gun is used by Magnum and Orville "Rick" Wright (Larry Manetti) in various episodes.

Colt Detective Special

Higgins is shot with a stainless Colt Detective Special in the episode "Italian Ice". Theodore "TC" Calvin (Roger E. Mosley) is seen holding one in the pilot episode "Don't Eat the Snow in Hawaii".

Remington 870

This gun is used by Higgins for skeet-shooting in the episode "Skin Deep". Also a police version, with a shortened barrel and extended magazine tube, is used by Magnum in the episode "L.A."

Colt Commander

Rick has been seen on the show with a stainless Colt Commander in several episodes.

Over and Under Shotgun

This gun is seen being used for skeet-shooting in the episode "Tropical Madness".

Side by Side Shotgun

This gun is used by Magnum to shoot down Higgins' remote control airplane in the episode "Distant Relative".

HK MP5

This gun is used by Magnum and Higgins in Vietnam in the episode "All for One" (at one point, they are fitted with suppressors).

HK 91

This gun is used by TC in Vietnam in the episode "All for One".

M60

This gun is used by Rick in Vietnam in the episode "All for One", as well as various flashbacks to Vietnam (the M60 in the flashbacks are seen mounted on the side of TC's helicopter). Also seen in the series is the M60C model (most often in disguise as a DSHK) as in "All for One" and "Mad Dogs and Englishmen)

This weapon is generally seen as Magnum's backup weapon carried in an ankle holster. It is seen in the episodes "The Big Blow" and "Let the Punishment Fit the Crime".

This gun is seen briefly while being cleaned by Higgins in the episode "Missing in Action".
