MacGyver (1985-1992)

MacGyver is an action series that aired on ABC from 1985 to 1992 and starred Richard Dean Anderson as the title character, a government troubleshooter who uses his wits as well as everyday items to get himself out of precarious situations. The show was also notable for the main character's aversion to guns, which was attributed to a tragic childhood incident. While the character never was seen firing guns (save for the pilot episode), that didn't preclude him from using them in a non-lethal manner. The series would continue in several made for television films and was subsequently "rebooted" in 2016 with a new television adaptation.

The following weapons were used in the television series MacGyver:

Handguns

M1911A1

The M1911A1 is used by several characters in the series.

A (sometimes suppressed) stainless version was used by Nicolas Von Leer (Kai Wulff) in season 6, episode 14: "Eye of Osiris" It becomes the gun of choice of most villians and their underlings during seasons 4-7, taking over H&K P9S's duty from season 1-3.
