While not technically a firearm, the katana sword used by Goemon Ishikawa XIII is a critically important weapon in the Lupin III universe. Originally called Ryusei ("Shooting Star") in the comic manga, the katana is better known by the cartoon anime name Zantetsuken, which is Japanese for "Iron Cutting Sword". Goemon uses it in myriad ways to support the team's missions. Examples include stealth entries into secure facilities, opening locks, and once cutting the wings off of a flying enemy's airplane! Supposedly unbreakable, it has, in fact, broken in a handful of occasions. Goemon has always repaired it by the beginning of the next episode.
