Lolita is a 1962 drama based on the book written by Vladimir Nabokov (who also wrote the screenplay) and directed by Stanley Kubrick. Humbert Humbert (James Mason) is a college professor of French Poetry who becomes obsessed with a young girl, Dolores Haze, nicknamed "Lolita" (Sue Lyon}, who is the teenage daughter of Charlotte Haze (Shelley Winters}.

Humbert confronts eccentric playwright Clare Quilty (Peter Sellers), holding him at bay with the S&W Model 10 revolver.
