Law & Order - Season 1 (1990 – 1991)

Law & Order premiered on Tuesday, September 13th, 1990, with the first episode "Prescription for Death". This episode actually was not the first episode produced as the original pilot "Everybody's Favorite Bagman" would eventually air as the sixth episode of the first season. This episode was produced two years earlier for CBS and had Roy Thinnes as District Attorney Alfred Wentworth rather than Steven Hill as DA Adam Schiff. CBS passed, and Hill was eventually hired when Thinnes was not able to reprise his role when the series went into production. Thinnes did return as a guest star in later seasons however, as well as in spinoffs SVU and Criminal Intent, but as different characters.

Ruger Redhawk

A .357 Magnum Ruger Redhawk is a piece of evidence in "Poison Ivy" (S01E08). While it is never called that by name, characters refer to it as a Magnum and say that it was chambered in .357 Magnum.

Pistols

Beretta 92F

A Beretta 92F is the murder weapon in "Happily Ever After" (S01E05). It is described by the investigators as a "Beretta model 94, blowback semi-automatic. 9mm", which is completely made up. In a continuity break, a M1911A1 on the counter turns into a Beretta 92F in "Poison Ivy" (S01E08). (It's likely a 92F rather than a 92FS because the episode was filmed in 1990.)

Astra 200

What appears to be a Astra 200 is used to kill a police officer in "A Death in the Family" (S01E13). It is picked up off the street by Revina (Karina Arroyave) who draws it on Dets. Greevey and Logan. It is described as a "Smith & Wesson .32."
