King Kong (1976)

King Kong is the 1976 adventure film remake of the 1933 adventure film of the same name and was directed by John Guillermin (The Blue Max). The film follows an oil expedition that stumbles upon a mysterious island where the legendary creature is found to exist. The film's cast included Jeff Bridges, Jessica Lange, and Charles Grodin. The film was produced by Dino De Laurentiis, who would also produce a 1986 sequel King Kong Lives.

Handguns

Colt Python

The first mate of the Petrox Explorer, Carnahan (Ed Lauter), uses what appears to be Colt Python.

Timmons (Mario Gallo), one of the sailors, uses a Remington Model 760 pump action rifle. This also appears to be the rifle used by Jack Prescott (Jeff Bridges).
