He then takes another Remington 1875, removes the cylinder from it, detaches the barrel from the frame and takes off the hammer. After removing parts from the two revolvers mentioned below, he takes the cylinder of the first Remington and loads it into this one, then attaches the Colt 1851 Navy's barrel and the 1860 Army's hammer to its frame. He eventually succeeds in loading the .44-40 cartridge into his frankenrevolver and takes an assassin down. |
The film appears to tip its hat to The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, specifically a scene featuring Eli Wallach and his portrayal of "the Ugly" aka Tuco. The latter demonstrates that despite his rough and drunken appearance, he actually possesses advanced skills as a gunfighter when he disassembles what appear to be 3 separate Colt Navy revolvers to assemble one perfected FrankenColt handgun. Fans of the 1960s western should appreciate the clear tribute to a film that explored the ethos of the gunfighter in a depth that was ahead of its time. | The film appears to tip its hat to The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, specifically a scene featuring Eli Wallach and his portrayal of "the Ugly" aka Tuco. John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum is the 2019 installment in the John Wick film series. Following the events of the second film, Wick (Keanu Reeves) finds himself on the run from assassins and attempting to find a way to make it out of New York City after a global bounty is placed on his head. Chad Stahelski returns to direct the sequel, and the cast includes Ian McShane, Lance Reddick and Laurence Fishburne returning, in addition to newcomers Halle Berry and Anjelica Huston.

Revolvers
Remington 1875
When John Wick enters the antique weapons museum at the start of the film, he picks up a Remington 1875 and tries to load a .44-40 cartridge into it, but fails.
Wick takes a Colt 1851 Navy and detaches the barrel from it in order to use it on the Remington 1875.
Colt 1860 Army (Denix replica)
Wick picks up a Colt 1860 Army and removes the hammer from it. The revolver is actually a non-firing replica made by Denix, as evidenced by the screws and the diamond-shaped logo on the frame.

Behind the Scenes
Hudson H9
A Hudson H9 was revealed to have been used for the Casablanca scenes. However, it is extremely difficult (if not impossible) to see the gun in the final cut, due to the distance, low lighting and fast-paced action of the scenes, with the majority of the pistols used during them being Glocks.
