Jackie Brown (1997)

Jackie Brown is the 1997 feature film adaptation of the Elmore Leonard novel Rum Punch. Written for the screen and directed by Quentin Tarantino, the film stars Pam Grier as the title character, a flight attendant who finds herself in the middle of a predicament involving an arms dealer, a bail bondsman and a large sum of cash. Louis Gara (Robert De Niro) draws and fires his nickel M1911A1 twice in the mall parking lot. Ordell (Samuel L. Jackson) later takes it from him and uses it throughout the rest of the film. The script had called for Gara to be armed with a Beretta 92FS instead.
