Inspector Morse is a British detective drama TV series based on novels by Colin Dexter and starring John Thaw as DCI Morse and Kevin Whately as DS Lewis. Stories are mostly set in Oxford, often connected with the University of Oxford.
Series have two spin-offs: Lewis (2006-2015), depicting now-promoted Inspector Lewis (Kevin Whately), and Endeavour (2012-current), portraying young Morse (Shaun Evans) and set in 1960s.
The following weapons were used in the television series Inspector Morse:
Revolvers
Colt Detective Special
Hugo De Vries (Ian McDiarmid) uses a Colt Detective Special in the climactic scene in "Masonic Mysteries" (S04E04).
Colt Detective Special 1st Gen with Round Butt - .38 Special
De Vries raises his revolver at Morse.
He holds the gun at Morse's head.
A closeup of the front of the revolver.
A good general view of the gun.
De Vries draws the revolver when his car is blocked by police.
Smith & Wesson Model 10HB
In "Promised Land" (S05E05), set in Australia, New South Wales Police personnel, notably Sergeant Scott Humphries (John Jarratt), carry Smith & Wesson Model 10HB revolvers (correct sidearm for early 1990s).
Smith & Wesson Model 10 with 3" barrel - .38 Special
Sergeant Humphries carries his revolver in holster.
Detective Inspector Glenn McAllister (
Max Phipps) suggests Morse to take a revolver when Morse goes on negotiations with criminal Paul Matthews.

Humphries holds his revolver in the climactic scene.
McAllister and Detective Gary Warrender (Peter Browne) with revolvers. McAllister's revolver seems to be same S&w Model 10 HB while Warrender (at the right) holds a snub nose revolver.
Unidentified revolver

Pistols
Welrod Mark II
In "The Last Enemy" (S03E02) a suppressed gun is the murder weapon. Pathologist identified the bullet as .32 caliber, and DS Lewis claims that suppressed pistol in .32 caliber must be a Welrod Pistol, that Lewis had seen in local war museum. The screen gun is seen only partially but what is seen matches Welrod Mark II. It's worth noting that in the assassination scene the gun is shown firing too fast for real bolt-action Welrod: after two initial shots that are separated by a period of time, three or four more shots follow in semi-auto mode, one by one.
Welrod pistol Mark II - .32 ACP
The barrel. The position of the front sight matches Mk II, and the shadow reveals the lack of trigger guard that is also a feature of Mk II.
Walther PPK
In the opening scene in "Deceived by Flight" (S03E03) Anthony Donn (Daniel Massey) holds a Walther PPK.
Walther PPK - 7.65 mm Browning (.32 ACP)
Anthony Donn examines his pistol.
Star Model B
Paul Matthews (Con O'Neill) carries a Star Model B in "Promised Land" (S05E05).
Matthews fires from the corner.
Matthews holds Karen Harding (Vanessa Patterson) as hostage.
Closer view of the pistol.
The pistol is seen from the back.
The external extractor allows to identify the pistol as a Star rather than original Colt models.
Matthews fires at Sergeant Scott Humphries. The pistol is seen cycling and extracting a spent brass.
Beretta M1934
A nickel plated Beretta M1934 is founed next to dead Henry Fallon (James Walker) in "Dead on Time" (S06E01).
Nickel plated Beretta with pearl grips is seen next to Fallon's body.
Rifles
Bolt Action Rifle
Two bolt action rifles, both with sniper scopes, are seen among the guns of the forester George Henderson (George Irving) in "The Secret of Bay 5" (S03E04).
For comparison: Pre-1964 Winchester Model 70 - .30-06

Henderson holds his rifle.
Drinking alcohol while holding a loaded rifle is a bad habit.
Henderson fires at a target.
DS Lewis examines Henderson's guns. The remaining rifle with sniper scope appears to be of a different model than the one that Henderson takes with him; it has different stock and thinner barrel without iron sights.
Unidentified long gun
One more long gun, possibly also rifle but semi-auto rather than bolt action, is also seen in Henderson's gun rack.

Shotguns
Double Barreled Shotgun
A Double Barreled Shotgun is one of the guns of the forester George Henderson in "The Secret of Bay 5" (S03E04).

Pump Action Shotgun
A pump action shotgun is one of the guns of the forester George Henderson in "The Secret of Bay 5" (S03E04). It bears resemblance with Remington 870 but it's hard to say for sure.
For comparison: Remington 870 Wingmaster AP - 12 gauge

Assault Rifles
AR-15
In the climactic scene in "Promised Land" (S05E05) two snipers of New South Wales Police use M16-style assault rifles of unclear model (possibly semi-auto civilian version of AR-15), fitted with sniper scopes.
For comparison: Colt AR-15 Sporter-1 (SP1) - 5.56x45mm
