I'm a Detective (Russian title Ya, sledovatel..., Georgian title Me, gamomdziebeli...; more correct English title would be "I, a Detective") is a Soviet Georgian 1972 (filmed 1971) detective movie directed by Georgi Kalatozishvili and based on the story by the Vayner Brothers. A detective of Tbilisi Ugolovny Rozysk (criminal police) Capt. Georgi Mikeladze (Vakhtang Kikabidze) investigates an armed robbery. The investigation leads him from Georgia to Estonia and Latvia where at last Mikeladze together with his collegues from Tallin arrests the criminal.

The movie is the first screen adaptation of the original story. In 2016 the novel was adapted once more as a part of TV series Sledovatel Tikhonov.

The following weapons were used in the film I'm a Detective (Ya, sledovatel...):

Makarov PM

Tbilisi Ugolovny Rozysk (criminal police) Capt. Georgi Mikeladze (Vakhtang Kikabidze) carries a Makarov PM pistol.

Makarov PM - 9x18mm Makarov
Mikeladze carries a PM in in shoulder holster ("operative holster" was an official term of Soviet law enforcement services).

Tokarev TT-33

A TT-33 is seen tested in ballistic lab. In the climactic scene a TT is seen in hands of a criminal, posing under the name of Aleksey Saburov (U. Rozberg).

Tokarev TT-33 - 7.62x25mm Tokarev. Pre-1947 version.

A Militsiya operative grapples with the criminal for the TT.
Another view of the scene. Note that the pistol lacks the recoil spring, and the barrel seems to be deactivated.
Tallinn Ugolovny Rozysk detective Militsiya Sr.Lt. Aleksandr Kandaurov (Mikhail Nikitin) holds the TT, taken from the arrested criminal.

Firearms in Ballistic Lab

Several firearms are seen in ballistic lab of Tbilisi Ugolovny Rozysk. Three handguns at the right can be identified as Nagant M1895 (1), Walther P38 (2) and possibly FN Model 1910 (3). Also an unidentified revolver (4) can be seen on the table.

Nagant M1895 Revolver - 7.62x38R Nagant
Walther P38 - 9x19mm
FN Model 1910 - .380 ACP

Unknown Long Guns

Barrels of several long guns are seen in gun rack in the office of railroad security. "Frolovka" bolt action shotgun is a possible guess as they were widely used by security guards in USSR but it cannot be proved.

Four barrels are seen at the background.

Trivia

Posters with various firearms, including AK assult rifles, are seen in the ballistic lab.
7.62x25mm cartriges.
