Hell of the Living Dead (Italian: Virus - l'inferno dei morti viventi) is a 1980 Italian-Spanish low-budget horror film, inspiried by Dawn of the Dead, and directed by Bruno Mattei. It has been released under several titles, including "Virus", "Night of the Zombies" and "Zombie Creeping Flesh". The film generally received a negative reviews.

The plot is based on that at a top secret chemical research facility called "Hope Center #1", a major accident happens, causing some gas to leak and all employees, as well as people living in the area, turn into zombies. At the same time, but in another place, a special forces detachment consisting of four people frees the American consulate from invading "ecologist" terrorists. After that, a group of special forces sent to the infected area of ​​New Guinea, where the accident occurred earlier.

Thompson M1A1 (Replica)

The M1A1 Thompson submachine guns is used by members of the police and members of the ecologist group during US consul crisis. They are seems by replicas, made mainly of rubber, and showing moving bolts and powder smoke (which, alas, comes not from the barrel, but from somewhere from the receiver). It's also used by the SWAT team during their new mission in New Guinea. It's depicted without or with a 1928 rear sight but never with a M1A1's. One model with a vertical foregrip seems to be the trademark weapon of Zantoro, but due to continuity error, this weapon is wore by others members of the team.
