Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001)

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone is the 2001 film adaptation of the first book in J.K. Rowling's best selling "Harry Potter" series. While it was released in North America and India under this title, the film is known as Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone in many parts of the world. The film was the first of eight films and would also spawn the 2016 prequel Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

The following weapons were used in the film Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone:

12 Gauge Double-Barreled Shotgun

At one point in the film, Rubeus Hagrid (Robbie Coltrane) comes to take Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe) to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, but is confronted by Harry's uncle Vernon Dursley (Richard Griffiths) who is armed with a 12 Gauge Double Barreled Shotgun. Hagrid is unfazed by the sight of the weapon, using his immense strength to bend the barrels and render the shotgun useless. This is the only appearance of an actual firearm in all of the eight Harry Potter films.
