Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories is the ninth video game in the GTA series. It serves as a prequel to Grand Theft Auto III, and features Toni Cipriani (voiced by Danny Mastrogiorgio) as the main character. It was first released on the PSP in 2005, then on the PS2 in 2006.

The following weapons appear in the video game Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories:

Handguns

Glock 17

The Glock 17 is the main pistol in the game. It holds seventeen rounds, but has low damage. It is carried by most gangsters and the Liberty City Police Department.

In-game model.

Colt Python

The Colt Python is the most powerful handgun in the game, with the downside of a low rate of fire and a capacity of 6 rounds. It can usually kill a person in one shot, with the exception of SWAT, FBI, and US Army personnel.

Colt M1911A1

A nickel plated Colt M1911A1 is carried by the corrupt officer Ray Machowski, in the intro cutscene of the mission "Crazy 69". It is not available for use during gameplay.

Shotguns

Over and Under Shotgun

The basic shotgun of the game is an Over and Under Shotgun, but it incorrectly functions in pump-action mode like the Ithaca 37 from the two previous titles. It is wielded by Ammu-Nation clerks, and can be obtained upon entering LCPD police cars.

Browning 5.25 O/U - 12 gauge
In-game model.

Ithaca 37 "Stakeout"

The Ithaca 37 "Stakeout", customized with a shorter barrel and magazine tube, a heat shield and a folding vertical foregrip, returns from Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, in which it was originally an homage to Miami Vice. It now has a faster rate of fire, and still has an extreme power but poor range.

Franchi SPAS-12

The Franchi SPAS-12 returns as well, functioning in semi-automatic mode with good damage and a magazine capacity of 7 shells.

Submachine Guns

Intratec TEC-9

The Intratec TEC-9 has a slightly low rate of fire compared to other SMGs in the game and moderate damage, but has a high magazine capacity of 50 rounds.

MAC-10

The MAC-10 has a very high rate of fire, but low damage.

Uzi

The Uzi is primarily used by the LCPD SWAT team. It has moderate damage and a good rate of fire.

Heckler & Koch MP5KN

The Heckler & Koch MP5KN is most powerful SMG in the game. It is able to fire at long ranges, along with a good rate of fire and a moderate ammunition capacity of 30 rounds (though the weapon model shows a 15-round magazine). It is used by FBI agents and US Army soldiers.

Assault Rifles

AK-47

The AK-47 is carried by several gang members and hitmen. It has a good rate of fire and excellent stopping power.

Colt Model 733

The Colt Model 733 returns from the two previous GTA titles. It is still erroneously referred to as an "M4", though this time the name would fit to the timeline since the game takes place in 1998.

Sniper Rifles

Remington 700

The Remington Model 700 is the basic bolt-action sniper rifle of the game.

Heckler & Koch SR9(T)

The Heckler & Koch SR9(T) is the most powerful sniper rifle in the game. Like in GTA Vice City, it comes with an incorrect 7-round magazine capacity and a laser magnifying scope. Appears to be modelled after the fake SR9(T) from Sniper.

Heavy Weapons

RPG-7

The RPG-7 appears in the game, obviously being effective against helicopters and pretty much anything else.

M60

The M60 machine gun is available in the game, with a 100-round belt. It is highly effective, and can easily take down enemies and destroy vehicles.

Handheld General Dynamics GAU-19/A

The portable "Minigun" returns in Liberty City Stories, but this time it is modeled after a GAU-19/A, which is even more implausible due to the real weapon being much heavier than the M134 Minigun, not to mention the larger .50 BMG cartridge.

Flamethrower

The fictional flamethrower returns from the two previous games..
