Good Morning Vietnam (1987)

M16A1
M16A1s are carried by US troops throughout the film.

M60 machine gun is seen on Navy PBR's as well as in Army guard towers.

M60D
M60D machine guns are mounted on the Marine UH-1D Iroquois that picks up Adrian Cronauer (Robin Williams) and Edward Garlick (Forest Whitaker).

Norinco Type 56
VC guerrillas are seen carrying early model Norinco Type 56 assault rifles as they search for Cronauer in the jungle. At least one VC has a Type 56 AK with a bayonet lug, however it lacks the stick bayonet.

The leading VC holds his Type 56 while giving hand signals to his comrades. These rifles are early M22 models as noted by their milled receivers.
M1 Carbine
In the beginning of the film, a US military policeman is seen with a M1 Carbine slung over his shoulder. Some ARVN soldiers and MPs also carry M1 Carbines with 30 round magazines. Near the end of the film, newly deployed US troops on the airfield are seen carrying M1 Carbines.
A batch of new soldiers arrive in South Vietnam with M1 Carbines slung over their shoulders.
