Gladbeck is a 2018 German two-part television drama, which was directed by Kilian Riedhof and produced by Ziegler Film from scripts by Holger Karsten Schmidt. The story centers on the Gladbeck hostage situation in August 1988, which became known throughout Germany, and was first broadcast on Das Erste on March 7 and 8, 2018.

On August 16, 1988, Dieter Degowski (Alexander Scheer) and Hans-Jürgen Rösner (Sascha A. Geršak) rob a bank. With Rösner's girlfriend Marion Löblich (Marie Rosa Tietjen) now an accomplice, they hijack a bus a short time later in Bremen. Afterwards, a hostage situation develops that will keep the whole of Germany on tenterhooks for three days because this is the first time that the public has witnessed such a crime up-close. Television and radio reporters are on the scene and transgress moral boundaries in their hunt for live, up-close coverage and the best pictures. They are right there with the perpetrators and their hostages, even talking to them. The criminals become media stars. Meanwhile, it becomes increasingly difficult for the police to coordinate further action. In their attempt to stop the hostage-takers, the authorities make more and more wrong decisions.

Colt Government Model

Hans-Jürgen Rösner (Sascha A. Geršak) uses a Colt Government Model as his personal firearm. The real Rösner actually used a Colt Government Model in 9x19mm during the Gladbeck hostage crisis.

Colt Government Model M1911A1 - .45 ACP

Rösner holds his Colt to Harald Engels' (Johannes Allmayer) head to hold back the police.

After looking around, he discovers the bus...

...raises his Colt Government Model into the air....

...and fires to signal the bus driver to open the door.

He looks into the camera of Peter Meyer (Albrecht Schuch) whom he invites to come to him.

During the interview he puts his Colt in the mouth. Note this is actual footage of the real interview.

The Colt lies on his right leg as he is interviewed in a Cologne pedestrian zone.

SIG-Sauer P225

Marion Löblich (Marie Rosa Tietjen) is seen wielding a SIG-Sauer P225 that she receives from Hans-Jürgen Rösner.

Marion goes through the bus with her SIG-Sauer pistol.

She threatens Emanuele (Riccardo Campione) to let go of his little sister Tatiana (Giolina Ardente).

She brandishes the P225 while escorting two hostages to the toilet.

A Smith & Wesson Model 29, which was actually used in the hostage-taking, is carried by Dieter Degowski (Alexander Scheer).

Silke: "No, not really."
Degowski: "Too young..."
He holds it at Silke Bischoff (Zsá Zsá Inci Bürkle) during the interview.

Degowski empties the revolver's cylinder after shooting at the Dutch police in anger.

He nervously shows the revolver to the reporters, giving a good view of the S&W logo.

Colt Detective Special

Degowski's (Alexander Scheer) revolver changes constantly to what appears to be a Colt Detective Special revolver with a three-inch barrel, shrouded ejector rod, and ramp front sight.
