Gina Lollobrigida was born July 4, 1927 in Subiaco, Italy. In the 1940s she won the competition Miss Roma and then in 1947 she finished as third in Miss Italy. Her acting career started in 1951 by the success of the movie Attention! Bandits! (Achtung! Banditi!) (1951). In the short run, thank to blockbusters like Fanfan le Tulipe (1952), Bread, Love and Dreams (1953), Frisky (1954) and The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1956) becomes a real movie star. In the 1960s, other high-quality films followed, such as Woman of Straw (1964), Hotel Paradiso (1966) or Buona Sera, Mrs. Campbell (1968), for which she was even nominated for the Golden Globe. She was married since 1949 with a Slovenian doctor Milka Skofič, to whom she would give birth to her son Milka Skofić junior. Marriage will last until 1971, and after divorce Gina will never marry.
