Pistols
AMT Backup
The AMT Backup with wooden grips is used by the fake Major during a raid at Unit 501's compound.
Seburo Pistol
The Seburo Pistol returns from the TV series as the issued sidearm for Section 9.
Walther P99
The Walther P99 returns as Batou's personal sidearm.
Revolvers
Mateba Model 6 Unica
The Mateba Model 6 Unica returns as Togusa's personal sidearm.
Assault Rifles
Howa Type 89
A Howa Type 89 with futurized furniture is used by rogue Japanese Ground Self-Defense Force soldiers throughout the movie.
Police Bullpup Rifle
The bullpup-type assault rifle is seen with armed police again in the movie, based on the FN F2000.
"Schrödinger"
The Schrödinger returns from the TV series, serving as Section 9's primary weapon.
Unit 501 Assault Rifle
Unit 501 uses a conventional assault rifle that has features based on the FN SCAR and the HK G36.
Shotguns
Shotgun Arm
The rogue JGSDF soldier who fights Batou uses his shotgun arm, which misses. Major likely used a shotgun arm during her solo raid on the Unit 501 compound as she used it to kill a Unit 501 contractor at close range.

A M134 minigun is used by rogue JGSDF forces during a hostage crisis to hold off anti-riot officers.
Rocket Launchers
Type 91 MANPADS
A Type 91 MANPADS is seen in the prologue with a rogue JGSDF soldier for anti-armor purposes.
Grenade Launchers
Logicoma Grenade Launchers
The Logicomas are equipped with chin-mounted grenade launchers as their main weapon.

Sonic grenade
The sonic grenade returns in the movie, being used by Unit 501 as a primary lethal device.
