GenerationKill2.jpg

The following are the weapons seen and used in Generation Kill is an HBO miniseries about Marines in Iraq.

Colt M4A1

M4A1 Carbine is used by many Recon Marines in the series, including Corporal Josh Ray Person (James Ransone) and Brad 'Iceman' Colbert (Alexander Skarsgard). Some are outfitted with the M203 Grenade Launcher. The M4s seen in the series all have full quad rails. Some had attachments like laser, PEQs and and optics. Most are stock with iron sights.

M16A2

The M16A2 makes it's appearance in the hands of numerous characters to include Lieutenant Nathaniel Fick (who has an M203 Grenade Launcher attached). The M16A2 is currently being phased out by the newer M16A4. During the Invasion of Iraq the M16A4 had started to replace the M16A2 in Army and Marine units, therefore not all units received the M16A4.
