General is a Russian 1992 war drama directed by Igor Nikolayev and depicting several episodes of the biography of Red Army General Aleksandr Vasilyevich Gorbatov, based on his acclaimed autobiography "Years off My Life".

Nagant M1895

The Captain of Special Departments (Vladimir Permyakov) draws the Nagant M1895 revolver when arresting Lt. Avdoshin.

In one scene Pvt. Avdoshin (Sergei Churbakov) holds a pocket pistol that belonged to some German officer. The pistol looks similar to FN Model 1905 family but has rear sights and some kind of safery on the back of the slide.

The BA-10 armoured car is seen at the right. It is armed with 45-mm 20K tank gun and two DT machine guns.
