Gang Related (2014)

Gang Related was a 2014 television crime series that starred Ramon Rodriguez as Ryan Lopez, a young man secretly raised by a prominent Los Angeles crime family to infiltrate the ranks of the LAPD. Upon his appointment to the Department's elite Gang Task Force, Lopez finds himself questioning whether to maintain his loyalties to his fellow officers or to his gang family. The series aired for 13 episodes in the US on the FOX network in the summer of 2014 and the cast included Terry O'Quinn, Sung Kang, RZA, and Cliff Curtis.

Handguns

Kimber SIS

In "Pilot" (S1E01), Det. Ryan Lopez (Ramon Rodriguez) is given a Kimber SIS pistol that he carries throughout the series. The SIS pistol also is carried by Sam Chapel (Terry O'Quinn). In "Pilot" (S1E01), Chapel identifies the pistol as a "Kimber 1911". This particular model was originally manufactured for members of the LAPD's Special Investigation Section.

Glock 17

The Glock 17 is the original sidearm of Det. Ryan Lopez before he switches to the Kimber. The Glock 17 is the sidearm of FBI Special Agent Tae Kim (Sung Kang) and ICE Agent Veronica "Vee" Dotsen (Inbar Lavi).

Sonny Watts (Myron Prime) uses a two-tone Glock 17 with an extended magazine during a standoff in "El Zorro y el Gallinero" (S1E08).

SIG-Sauer P229

The SIG-Sauer P229 is the sidearm carried by DEA Agent Cassius Green (RZA) throughout the series.

Armed with the SIG-Sauer P229, Cassius corners Yuri Letnov at the start of "Perros" (S1E04).

Beretta 92FS

The Beretta 92FS is used by gang members throughout the series. In the middle of "La Luz Verde", it's used by corrupt LA Sheriff's officer Rafael Nunez (Ben Bray) when Ryan barges into his residence at Panorama City.

Current American made Beretta 92FS - 9x19mm. Note the slanted dust cover, recurved backstrap and hex grip screws which distinguish this from earlier versions.

Heckler & Koch P7M13

A stainless steel Heckler & Koch P7M13 is used by Javier Acosta (Cliff Curtis) near the end of "Dia De Todos Los Santos" to fire at Metas Cartel gangsters, including Miguel Salazar.

Smith & Wesson 469

A Russian gangster appears to be armed with a Smith & Wesson 469 at the entrance of the pet clinic after the GTF initiates a raid in the middle of "Perros" (S1E04).

Smith & Wesson 5906

In "Invierno Cayo" (S1E05), a Smith & Wesson 5906 pistol is used by Andy Schiller (Jake Borelli) while under the influence of contaminated butter drugs. LAPD IA Detective Paul Carter (Jay Karnes) appears to have a 5906 in his duty holster, first seen in "El Zorro y el Gallinero".

A Taurus PT911 was handed to Daniel Acosta (Jay Hernandez) by a Metas Cartel gangster in "Regreso Del Infierno" (S1E07).

The Heckler & Koch MP5A3 is used by the members of the Gang Task Force as well as gangsters throughout the series.

Ingram MAC-10

What appears to be an Ingram MAC-10 is used by a Metas Cartel gangster during a raid in "Almadena".

MAC-10 was used by Jamie Lee Curtis in the film True Lies - 9x19mm Parabellum. When the gun fell down the flight of stairs, wire was wrapped around the trigger to get the effect.

Assault Rifles

Colt Model 933

The Colt Model 933 is the main rifle carried by Gang Task Force, FBI SWAT and DEA FAST officers. Some of the rifles seen are actually Classic Army M15A4 CQB airsoft replicas.

In "Sangre Por Sangre" (S1E02), ICE Agent Veronica "Vee" Dotsen (Inbar Lavi) is armed with the rifle, which is actually a Classic Army M15A4 CQB airsoft replica (Note the "Armalite" markings over the magwell).

Special Agents Kim and Dotsen are armed with 933s as they sweep a hallway (S1E04).

Lopez is "forced" to open fire on a Los Angelicos gangster near the end of "Entre Does Tierras" (S1E06).

Cassius aims the Model 933 at hijackers in "Regreso Del Infierno" after the unmarked DEA van was seized (S1E07).

The M15A4 held by Special Agent Kim in "Dia De Todos Los Santos", which further confirms that CA AEGs are used for scenes where actors/stuntmen involved do not need to fire a weapon in a scene.

AKMS

What appears to be an AKMS assault rifle is used by a Chino Skins armored car robber in "Pilot" (S1E01). Metas Cartel gangster use them as their main weapon in "Almadena".

AKMSU

The AKMSU is a weapon frequently carried by gangsters in the series.

AKMSU Krinkov - 7.62x39mm. This is a blank adapted full auto transferable AKM (7.62x39mm) pistol that was converted into a Krinkov via parts kit. Guns just like this one have been used in Tropic Thunder, Three Kings, and numerous other movies and TV shows.

An FN SCAR-L assault rifle is seen used by a Chino Skins armored car robber who is chasing down an armored truck in "Pilot" (S1E01).

Rocket Launchers

Three rocket launchers are seen on the debriefing screen at GTF headquarters in the middle of "El Buey Y el Alacran". Though they could be (from top to bottom) an M72 LAW, an M136 AT4, and an M141 SMAW-D it is more likely they are RPG-18, RPG-22 or RPG-26 launchers given that this is an arms deal with the Bratva.
