Firestarter is a 1984 science fiction thriller based on the eponymous novel by Stephen King. The movie was directed by Mark L. Lester and focuses on Charlie McGee (Drew Barrymore), a young girl who has a pyrokinesis ability.

Colt Detective Special
Most of Department of Scientific Intelligence (DSI) agents carry Colt Detective Special revolvers.
Colt Detective Special 1st Gen - .38 Special
DSI agents fire their revolvers during the encounter on the Irv Manders' farm. One of them is armed with a Colt Detective Special and the other one - with an unidentified revolver.

Smith & Wesson Model 10
Several of DSI agents carry Smith & Wesson Model 10 HB revolvers.
Smith & Wesson Model 10 HB (heavy barrel) revolver (Post 1950s Model) - .38 Special. Later incarnations of the Model 10 had a non-tapered heavy barrel, which leads it to be commonly mistaken for a .357 revolver.

Unidentified pistols
In the final scene several of DSI agents are armed with unidentified pistols.
Three DSI agents in fireproof suits are armed with pistols. These pistols can be M1911s but not for sure. Note that the man in the middle holds a pistol that is locked in back position.
One of the pistols of the trio can be seen better. It resembles some compact version of M1911.

A security guard in the airport carries a revolver with pearl or ivory grips in the holster.
